Mr Tom Hudd

British, Cross Cultural Competence and CELTA qualified English Teacher. Before joining ES Dubai, Tom spent 3 years teaching English as a foreign language in Italy at a Trinity College London test centre.

Tom takes huge pride in assisting our international students to improve their English skills as well as growing their confidence in a hard working but fun environment.

Mr Alec Snook

British, ESL teacher with 13 years experience. Alec is CELTA qualified, as well as a possessing a PGCE from the UK. Alec taught in Barcelona for five years, to groups of both teens and adults, as well as being experienced in exam preparation programmes, and corporate training with companies such as Barcelona FC, Nike and Sagrada Familía.

Alec loves teaching English; is a keen reader (in three different languages!); and also loves music.

Ms Kateryna Kurdyuk

TESOL qualified Canadian teacher, with over three years experience teaching English to international students in Vancouver.

Kat also holds a masters in Media Studies and Communication from Australia, as well as being fluent in Russian. She strongly believes in the communicative methods of teaching, and would like to become a university lecturer.

Mr Scott McGowan

Scott achieved an Honours Degree 2:1 in History and Politics and PGDE in Adult Education in his home city of Glasgow, Scotland, as well us being TEFL certified. Scott also taught English Literature, Economics and Communication before focusing on language teaching in Dubai.

He is passionate educator and loves the day-to-day interaction with students from all over the world. His interests include film and cinematic history, music and travel.


EVALUATIONSAs part of our efforts to improve student satisfaction, we carry out regular teacher evaluations. This process helps to maintain consistent standards for high quality teaching. Student feedback is very important to us and is vital to our success. Feedback is gathered from students throughout their course, via a questionnaire. In 2016, most students rated teaching at ES Dubai as excellent.

I really improved my speaking and listening skills. Now it’s much easier for me to understand native speakers. Teachers always try to give you exactly what you need. It makes you feel con�dent in a short time. I’m absolutely satis�ed with my ES Dubai course.

Our school is located in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), which is in the heart of New Dubai. JLT is conveniently situated and offers a great variety of food, retail and entertainment options, great access to public transport (two metro stations), and is just minutes away from the Dubai Marina Mall and the beach.

Visas for students enrolled in short courses will be processed under the Education Visitor Visa category. These Visas are also renewable if students desire to extend their study period with us.

Processing time: 1 to 2 weeks

Visa Length: 3 months, renewable once at the school, for the same length, for a total of 180 days.

What happens when the visa is approved?

Once approved, students are issued a digital Student Entry Permit’ which they print and take with them to show immigration upon departure in their home country.Upon arrival in the UAE students need to show the Student Entry Permit to the immigration officer, who will stamp the permit with the entry date.The short term student visa does not get stamped in the passport.

It is recommended that students apply as soon as possible as delays may result in not being able to enrol for the chosen date. The school also encourages students to buy their flight tickets after obtaining the visa entry
