They  all  came  together  with  a  persistent  love  for  dancing,

dance,   reinvent   commercial   dance   moves   to   work   with  local  trends  and  perform  in  a  way  that  uniquely  sets  them  apart  from  the  pack.

With  a  history  of  making  their  debut  performance  coming  in  at  2nd  place  during  the  2009  Masters  of  Rhythm  dance

space  of  time.

They  competed  at  the  2009  Strictly  Hip  Hop  dance  compe-tition   and   went   home   with   the   position   of   1st   place,  making   them   the   first   crew   to   ever   take   a   street   dance

in  2010  as  defending  champs  when  they  took  the  title  yet

World  War  3  and  were  also  one  of  four  local  dance  crews  to  dance  for  Ms  Keri  Hilson  during  her  visit  to  SA.

These   four   young   guys   obviously   have   one   dope   CV   on

can  go  from  this  point  on  –  growing  bigger,  and  better,  and  positively  influencing    the  African  dance  scene.

street  cred  and  our  achievements  speak  for  themselves.   In   2011   we   took   the   MOR  trophy,   which   just   upped   our   reputation,  standard  and  street  credit  even  more,  as  we

dancing  has  been  my  1st  priority.  Nicholas:   I  was   a   ruby  player   and   loved  wrestling,   until   I   found  out   about   the  “Krumping”  style  of  dance.  I  just  fell  in  love  with  it.

-

Well,  when  we  started  out,  our  original   idea  was   just   to  be  a  dance   crew   that   was   recog-

thought  the  name  would  ever  travel  afar  from  Soweto  to  the  rest  of  Gauteng,  and  possibly  the  rest  of  S.A.  So  no,  we  had  no   idea   the   hype   around

YOU   SPLIT   IT   ALL   UP   EQUALLY   AMOUNGEST

that  people   think  we  got.  As  for   the  amount  we  did   get,   we   put   it   to   good   use   by   sharing   it  amongst  ourselves  and  used  some  of  it  to  main-

-porters  and  friends  that  appreciate  us  and  what  we  do  on  stage.  We  recip-rocate  our  love  back  to  them,  even  take  pics  and  thank  them  for  the  love

we  can  only  show  our  gratitude  by  maintaining  our   performance   level   and   not   disappointing  you   guys.   To   those   trying   to   make   the   cut;  “patience   is   a   virtue”   and   always   believe   in  yourself   and   God,   love   your   parents   and  respect  them  –  especially  your  mother.

Stunners  were  traditionally  worn  to  protect  the  eyes  from  the  sun’s  UV  rays,

BUT  our  new  trends  have  recycled  that.  They  are  now  worn  to  compliment  the  outfits

we  wear  as  well  as  exaggerate  our  over-the-top  personalities.

Baggy  Pants:  Stylish  or  Sorry?

Back  2  Basics

Baggy  and  skinny’s  mixed.

“this  practice  began  in  prison  where  sagging  pants  was  a  code  signifying  that  the  man

wearing  the  sagging  pants  was  willing  to  givethe  services  of  sexual  activity  to

another  man  in  prison”

Cynthia  is  focused.  She  is  quietly  ambitious.  She  is  a  lover  of  dance  and  hip  hop  as  a  culture.  She  is  a  hard  worker.    She  is  a

graduate  and  she  loves  coca  cola

Well,  as  a  dancer  back  in  the  days,  I  entered  dance  competi-tions  where  winners  were  always  either  contemporary  dancers

movement  that  will  cater  to  the  Hip  Hop  Culture..  Hence,  the  birth  of  STRICTLY  Hip  Hop!!  We  saw  the  need  for  young  people  to   express   themselves   on   proper   stages   instead   of   street  corners  and  garages..  We  wanted  to  give  these  hip  hoppers  an  opportunity   to   showcase   themselves   to   the   greater   public..  Just  like  the  ballet  and  contemporary  kids.

How  does  it  feel  being  the  only  lady  on  the  top  of  the  pyramid

Haha,  “feels  like  i  gotta  work  twice  as  hard  to  be  thought  half  as  good  as  them..  luckily,  this  is  not  very  difficult”!!  I  am  quot-ing  Kimora  Lee.    Ok,  seriously  now,  it  is  all  good.  We  each  have  different  parts  to  do  in  the  SHH  Movement..  and  I  do  my  job

them!

You  work  with  two  other  men  in  this  movement,  how  do  you  go  about   incorporating  your   ideas  and   letting   them  known  and

Well,  my  part  of  the  tasks  in  this  movement  requires  me  to  use

thing.  And  I  am  good  at  what  I  do,  so,  they  do  listen  to  me..  89%  of   the   time..   lol.   And   yea,   there   some   conflicts   here   and  there..but  nothing  that  cant  be  fixed  over  some  Chinese  food  later  on   !

Seeing  what  our  youth  have  grown   to  become,  what   is   your

might  not  make  u  wealthy  in  future,  but  it  will  set  you  apart.  It  will  shape  the  way  u  view  things,  the  way  you  communicate,  the  way  you  react  to  things  and  ultimately,  it  will  shape  your  life.  To  the  girls  out  there,  you  can  only  call  yourself  a  “trea-sure”  if  you  keep  yourself  rare...

Lawrence  Umukoro.  This  guy  is  just  off  the  hinges!!  He  is  such  a  multi-talented  man..   Some   of   the   things   he   does   are   self  taught,  yet,  you  d  think  he  acquired  degrees  up  on  degrees...  he  inspires  me  to  keep  on  working  on  myself  in  all  spheres  of  life

I  have  learned  so  many  things..  the  most  important  being:  A  positive  attitude  might  not  get  you  everything  u  want,  but  it  can  piss  the  hell  out  of  your  haters!  And  that  will  make  your  journey  so  much  worth  the  effort

“You  may  have  come  across  a  promising

performer  with  lots  of  potential  at  some  point  in  your  life  –  heard  his  music  everywhere  at  one

point  in  time,  even  caught  his  interviews  on  all  the  top  television  and  radio  channels,  then  like  a  light  switch  that  goes  off,  you  never  saw  or  heard  from  him  again.”

“  Nobody  cares  anymore  if  you  have  5000  friends  on  your  Facebook  account.  If

short  of  a  million  followers  on  Twitter,

bragging  to  everyone  about  how  dope  you  are  at  what  you  do.  The  figures  always

speak  for  themselves.”
