Dumulao : Mother of Aliguyon
Pangaiwan : Father of Pumbakhayon, King of Daligdigan, enemy of Amtalao
Pumbakhayon: Fiere son of Pangawian, Greatest warrior of Daligdigan
!ugan : Sister of Pumbakhayon, married by Aliguyon
Aginaya : Sister of Aliguyon, married by Pumbakhayon
Plot:
"n the mountainous regions of #orthern $u%on, a hudhud is a long tale sung
during s&eial oasions' (his &artiular long tale is sung during har)est' A
fa)orite to&i of the hudhud is a folk hero named Aliguyon, a bra)e warrior'
*ne u&on a time, in a )illage alled Hannanga, a boy was born to the
ou&le named Amtalao and Dumulao' He was alled Aliguyon' He was an
intelligent, eager young man who wanted to learn many things, and indeed, he
learned many useful things, from the stories and teahings of his father' He
learned how to fight well and hant a few magi s&ells' +)en as a hild, he was
a leader, for the other hildren of his )illage looked u& to him with awe'

&on lea)ing hildhood, Aliguyon betook himself to gather fores to fight
against his father-s enemy, who was Pangaiwan of the )illage of Daligdigan'
!ut his hallenge was not answered &ersonally by Pangaiwan' "nstead, he
faed Pangaiwan-s fiere son, Pumbakhayon' Pumbakhayon was .ust as skilled
in the arts of war and magi as Aliguyon' (he two of them battled eah other
for three years, and neither of them showed signs of defeat' (heir battle was a
tedious one, and it has been said that they both used only one s&ear/ Aliguyon
had thrown a s&ear to his o&&onent at the start of their math, but the fair
Pumbakhayon had aught it deftly with one hand' And then Pumbakhayon
threw the s&ear bak to Aliguyon, who &iked it .ust as neatly from the air'
At length Aliguyon and Pumbakhayon ame to res&et eah other, and then
e)entually they ame to admire eah other-s talents' (heir fighting sto&&ed
suddenly' !etween the two of them they drafted a &eae treaty between
Hannanga and Daligdigan, whih their &eo&les readily agreed to' "t was fine tobehold two ma.esti warriors finally side by side'
Aliguyon and Pumbakhayon beame good friends, as &eae between their
)illages flourished' 0hen the time ame for Aliguyon to hoose a mate, he
hose Pumbakhayon-s youngest sister, !ugan, who was little more than a
baby' He took !ugan into his household and ared for her until she grew to be
most beautiful' Pumbakhayon, in his turn, took for his wife Aliguyon-s younger
sister, Aginaya' (he two ou&les beame wealthy and res&eted in all of
"fugao'

This story tells as the importance of Forgiveness. Wars orattles against the enemy can!t solve the prolem. If someone h"rt "s# let
them $no% ao"t yo"r feelings against them in a proper %ay. There is no
s"ch tro"le that can!t e solve in a harmonio"s %ay. Forgiveness an& love for
each of "s can lea& "s into a happy# peacef"l an& progressive %ay of living'
