If you don’t hear a beep when you press the screen,you may have deactivated the beep. Press any de-vice button twice to activate the beep function. If youstill don’t hear a beep, press the button a little morefirmly.

Press the button of thedevice that you want toprogram.

You can now startmapping your device’sremote control buttonsto the SRC-9200 LCDbuttons. The powerbutton is the first but-ton to be mapped.

While pointing yourdevice’s remote con-trol at the SRC-9200learning eye, press thedevice’s power button.

Or, you can press adifferent device buttonand configure it withanother remote con-trol.

When you have fin-ished mapping all thedesired buttons fromyour device remotecontrol to the SRC-9200, press the learnbutton. You hear threebeeps, and the SRC-9200 exits the learningfunction.

Press the buttonwhose data you wantto delete. You hear abeep and see the

OK icon. The but-ton’s data has beendeleted.

Note: Pressing thebutton only deletes themapped data; itdoesn’t remove thebutton. To learn howto remove buttons,refer to Changing theLCD layout on page 16.

If you want to deletethe data for all of adevice’s buttons, pressthe delete button whilein delete mode. The

BANK icon appearsunder the delete but-ton.

Press the devicewhose data you wantto delete. You heartwo beeps and see the

OK icon.

The data has beenerased.

To delete the data forall the devices, pressthe delete button forthree seconds. Thedisplay will flash andyou will hear sixbeeps. All data hasbeen erased.

When you have fin-ished deleting data,press the learn buttonto exit the delete func-tion and return tonormal operation.

Note: If you want tomap a function fromyou device remotecontrol to the SRC-9200, but there is nocorresponding iconthat represents yourdevice function, youcan use C to representthe function.

Note: To see all avail-able icons, press andhold the power buttonwhile in device editmode.

First, you will press abutton that you canuse to run the macro.You can choose abutton from any devicescreen.

The original function ofthe button will be lost.Therefore, you shouldchoose a button thatyou do not use in nor-mal operation.

Press the learn buttonto end the macro re-cording for this macro.

If you want to recordanother macro, pressanother macro run keyand record the macro.Otherwise, press learnto exit the macrosetup.

Press the TV button.

Press the power but-ton. This will powerthe TV on.

Press TV/Video. Thiscommand will switchthe TV mode to Videomode so that you canwatch the VCR tape.

You may need to set atime delay betweenturning your TV on andturning the VCR on.Push the macro buttonto scroll through thethree options: A. twoseconds; B. five sec-onds; and C. tenseconds.

Push the macro buttonuntil the ten-seconddelay (C) appears.

Note: You can set thistime delay betweenany two commands.

The SRC-9200 detectsthe ambient lightingand will turn the back-light on according tothe setting in thisscreen.

Press the up arrow keyto increase the sensi-tivity of the backlight tothe ambient lighting.

When set to 1, thebacklight will automati-cally switch on after asmall decrease in theambient light brightness.

Press the down arrowkey to decrease thesensitivity of the back-light to the ambientlighting.

When set to 10, thebacklight will automati-cally switch on after alarge decrease in theambient light bright-ness.

Symptom Remedy

The SRC-9200doesn’t operateyour device.

• Move closer to the device. The maximum op-erating distance is approximately ten meters.

• Ensure that you are aiming the SRC-9200 di-rectly at the device and that there are noobstructions between the SRC-9200 and thedevice.

• Ensure that you have used the learning func-tion (page 9) to configure the device.

• Make sure that the desired device on the SRC-9200 LCD panel has been selected.

You cannot oper-ate a device evenafter configuringthe device usingthe learning func-tion (page 9).

• Make sure that you have correctly “mapped”your device’s remote control to the SRC-9200.

• Clear the device data from the SRC-9200 (page13) and carry out the learning function again(page 9).

You see an “error”display during thelearning proce-dure.

• Try the learning procedure again (page 9).

You see an “error”display duringoperation.

• The button that you pressed has not been con-figured. Configure the button using the learningprocedure (page 9).

The LCD screenturns off.

• The SRC-9200 is preset at the factory to auto-matically switch the LCD off after 20 minutes ifleft unused. Just tap the LCD screen to turnthe SRC-9200 back on again.
