ARCHERY IN CISM

1. The list of World level sports includes military, team and individual

sports.

2. The list will be maintained at CISM HQ and reviewed on a 4 year cycle,

based on the year of the MWG.

3. The list of Continental level sports will also be maintained at CISM HQ for

tracking purposes only. The list of Regional level sports will be maintained

at the Continental level (VP office).

4. In order to be listed as a World level sport, there is a requirement for

the minimum participation of eight (8) nations for men and/or four (4) for

women from at least two (2) continents. In addition, the sport must

conduct 2 World level championships within the 4 year cycle (including

MWG). 5. New sports may be added at the World level if they are able to

demonstrate their ability to meet the above requirements through the hosting of continental/invitational championships.

Proposal to the BoD from the Neighbors meeting in Slovenia 2015

CO

NC

EPT

The idea was to reduce and to downsize our calendar, introducing a planning (which MWCs in the different years) instead of the traditional “open candidature”.

It should be important also because the emergency affects our budget and this rearrangement can give our members the opportunity to optimize the resources in terms of organization and participation.

We established a panel of discussion involving all the concerned people

The SC and BoD advise was positive.

The PCSC didn’t support the proposal nor any kind of rearrangement, so the issue has been abandoned.

Rotation/periodicity of the MWC

As consequence of the PCSC meeting on 23- 25 February, took the following decisions:

• …

• ….

• The project to establish a cycle of competitions for the CISM World Championships is

cancelled

• ….

Possibility to share experiences and to involve also other disciplines that often

ask for entering in our sport program (aikido, ju-jitsu, karate, kickboxing,

sambo, savate, etc.);

Every four years, in the middle of MWGs (1st edition 2017)

Also Fencing is included

Possibility to have a collateral cultural program that reflects the ancient traditions

and values of martial arts as well as their contribution to modern society.

The PCSC of Taekwondo is the PO of the event

• It is organized as a 3-5 days seminar

• The CISM WG Debriefing shall be preferably organized in the next CISM MWG organizers country to maximize the local impact.

• The next CISM Organizers country is responsible for ensuring the adequate meeting facilities and hosting conditions, but the content of the presentations and the program of the lectures are defined in partnership between CISM WGPO and the organizers of the just concluded CISM WG.

• The participants must be of an appropriate level of

authority in their respective areas of responsibilities to have the ability to share their driving policies and management policies with other participants. Nevertheless, the participation of more field-experts and technical managers should not be underestimated since their added value is considerable.

• There are basically 3 categories of participants in the CISM Game Debriefing having each a particular role and specific responsibilities:

1. The representatives of CISM

2. The representatives of the just concluded Games

3. The members of the host nation of the next Games

PCSC Winter Meeting

Re-established in 2015 after 4 years of interruption

Idea to open the candidature to host the event in a different place, if it respects the timing (period and duration) and if it is convenient for the participants

Good impact and atmosphere, important stock of the situation about sports issues, positive outcome

Evaluation that Brussels should be the best solution, in order to fix a “standard” meeting annually
