Over the past few years commitment to unify Thai industry, UBM agencies in Asia and BOI offices around the world has resulted in a strategy to promote investment opportunities in Thailand. This has principally been done through a variety of activities designed to encourage entrepreneurs and investors to participate in Intermach and Subcon Thailand 2013.
For instance, entrepreneurs from ASEAN (Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and the Philippines) and investors from Japan (Osaka, Toyama, Tokyo, and Kanagawa) have been recruited. Moreover,JETRO Bangkok and many international entrepreneurs from the USA, Taiwan, South Korean, Czech, Belgium, Turkey, Hong Kong, and Russia, have shown interest in joining the program.
The activities and events are designed to benefit and strengthen Thai industry overall. “We aim to expand Thai entrepreneurs’ horizons by exposing them to broader markets in ASEAN at relevant exhibitions. At the same time many international entrepreneurs are being encouraged to become part of Thailand’s new development and increased entrepreneurship continues to evolve. It is anticipated that these events will generate many new business opportunities for entrepreneurs in both Intermach and Subcon Thailand,” said Khun Narucha Ruchupan, the Director of BUILD of Thailand.
The highlight of the Strategic Seminar will be a panel that addresses, “Positive Organization andAttitudes regarding the AEC,” This will be held at the City Hotel, Sriracha, Chonburi. There will also be a roadshow on, “Enhancing Entrepreneurship in Support Industries, Relating to the AEC.” The goal of the seminar is to invite as many ASEAN entrepreneurs as possible to join the program.

On May 15, UBM Asia (Thailand) held a welcoming reception forthe Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) andthe Myanmar Industries Association (MIA).
