1) International Yoga Day:-NSS SCMP Pachod

NSS has conducted 6th International yoga day celebration on 21 June 2020.

Faculties and staff participated in Yoga day. Yoga trainer Dr. Gandhi Banayat Faculty of this

college given training in Yoga for the students and staff. He also insisted on the importance of yoga

in present scenario. The Yoga practice session will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. A yoga

instructor demonstrating "Asanas" to all participants. Principal Dr. Suresh Nalawade sir advise the

staff and student on the topic of importance of yoga in this hectic life.At the end of the

ceremony NSS coordinator Dr. Vilas Mahajan focus on health issues and need imparting Yoga

syllabus in HEI’s

2) Observance of “Parakram Diwas”. :-

125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose- celebrated as

"Parakram Diwas" NSS SCMP Pachod

In order to honour and remember Netaji's indomitable spirit and selfless service to

the nation, the Government of India has decided to celebrate his birthday on January 23 every year

as 'Parakram Diwas' to inspire people of the country, especially the youth, to act with fortitude in

the face of adversity as Netaji did, and to infuse in them a spirit of patriotic fervor. Principal S.M

Nalawade Preside the chairmanship of program. He elaborate role & contribution of

Subhashchandra Bose in freedom fight movement "Tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as the

nation commences his 125th birth anniversary celebrations. It is befitting to celebrate this day as

"Parakram Diwas" to honour his boundless courage & valour. Netaji instilled the fervour of

nationalism among his countless followers," .

Summary of Social Activity

Initially, the corona virus affects urban areas, but subsequently it permanently affects urban and

rural areas. The serious adverse effects of t virus college chairman Shri. Raju Nana Bhumre took

the initiative to distribute cotton mask and disinfectant among pachod bus stand periphery people.

This mask drive activity follow the SOP of covid-19 Pandemic. The success of this social activity

NSS programme coordinator Dr Vilas Mahajan & co-co ordinator Dr. Hariprasad Bidwe worked

hard to bring this social activity to fruition. The results of this program are that rural residents

recognize the importance of wearing a mask in this pandemic.

5) Observance of World Women's Day

Date: 08/03/2021

Women's Day was celebrated with enthusiasm in the college. Dr.Bagul Madame

( Counsellor Head in Ghati Govt Hospital Aurangabad) as the inaugural speaker of the event. Dr.

Bagul madam in her speech focus on Theme for this day Every year, March 8 is celebrated as

International Women’s Day. This year, the goal is to create a gender-parity world. It is about

celebrating a woman’s success and raising awareness against bias. So we all should choose

to ‘challenge’ to bring the change. Principal Dr. S.M Nalawade Sir preside chair person of

this event.

NSS coordinator Dr. V.G Mahajan sir insist on women health & mentality.

There are a number of factors affecting women's mental health. Women are more likely to be the

main care for their children than men, and may care for older or disabled relatives too. Women

cares are more likely to experience anxiety and depression than other women. This programme

hosted by Dr. Hariprasad Bidwe sir. Open group discussion on Gender parity . At last vote of

thanks by Dr. Potbhare Sir. The events was attended by a large number of students volunteer &

staff.

6 )Celebration of Birth Aniversary of Savitrybai Phule.

knowledge that he loses his lower status and achieves the higher one.

– Savitribai Phule

As it was the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule on 10 January, we at shivchhatrapati Arts

College NSS Unit celebrated this day with the desired fervor. Dr. Vilas Mahajan delivered

information about Savitribai’s early life, education, poetry and her other works for uplifting of

downtrodden minority as women & girls. The birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule is celebrated as

‘Balika Divas.’ Students also learnt that she was an Indian social reformer, educationist and a

renowned poet from Maharashtra. She is regarded as the first female teacher of India.

To mark this occasion, various activities were organized for the students. Group discussion on

Gender Parity etc NSS Volunteer participated in this programme .

Yoga is a systematic practice of physical exercise, breath control,

relaxation, diet control, and positive thinking and meditation aimed at developing harmony in the

body, mind, and environment. The practice entails low-impact physical activity, postures

(called asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), relaxation, and meditation. Most people are

familiar with the physical poses or yoga positions but don't know that yoga involves so much more.

Yoga trainer Dr Banayat sir focus on important of Yoga In the health fields, yoga techniques are

being applied in health promotion programs, substance abuse treatment programs, and as a

complementary treatment for diseases such as anxiety disorders, depression, coronary heart disease,

cancers, and HIV/AIDS. Yoga is a low-cost self-help approach to well-being. The origin is a

Sanskrit word Yog meaning union. Yoga is a union of the organ systems in the body with the

consciousness in the mind. Philosophically, yoga produces a union of body, mind, and energy (or

soul or spirit) to bring about a state of equanimity (calmness). Progressing to an even more

advanced state, blending science and philosophy, one experiences a union of body, mind, internal

energy, and the all-pervading cosmic energy, resulting in better physical health, mental control, and,

9) Blood Donation Camp with Lions Blood Center Aurangabad

Number of Actual Blood Donor: 56 Public Outreach :600

The NSS unit of Shiv Chhatrapati Arts College Pachod, organized a blood donation camp in

collaboration with Lions Blood Center Aurangabad on 13/07/2021.

The camp began at 10.00 a.m. with a short inaugural function by President Shri Raju Nana

Bhumre. Dr. S.M Nalawe sir was given a floral welcome to experts & team.

Dr. Vilas Mahajan expressed his gratitude to the NSS unit of the college for its continuous

endeavor in this regard. He also stressed on the growing need of blood in the state and commended

the young volunteers for their noble act.

The Camp was inaugurated by Shri Raju Nana Bhumre . In this camp 56 volunteers

came forward to donate blood which included teaching & non-teaching staff, students & non-

student donors. At the end 56 units of Blood was collected. The blood donors were given jalebi,

banana Biscuits and nutritional drink after donating the blood in order to reenergize themselves.

The blood donors were provided with a blood donation certificate card by LBC Aurangabad.

This was the 3rd camp conducted by the NSS unit The blood donation camp was

coordinated by Dr. V.G Mahjan N.S.S co-ordinator of the college . He was assisted by Dr.

Hariprasad Bidwe sir & NSS Volunteers.

10) Tree Plantation Report

On 27 July 2021 , our college successfully completed the event of Tree Plantation under the

National Service Scheme (NSS) at college campus. Trees are vital part of this eco system. Trees

are the foremost source for producing the oxygen in environment, they helps to reduce the level of

CO2. After the Industrial revolution the whole world is facing the problem of global warming,

surge in natural as well as manmade calamities. To recover from such problem planting the trees is

become one of the most important priority of our society .

The event was begun with the welcome speech by the Principal Dr. S.M Nalawade. At that

time Principal advised the volunteers to think differently for the society, to make positive changes

and to make improvement. Its our responsibility to plant one tree by one person. Dr. V.G Mahajan,

NSS officer orients the NSS volunteers by notifying the importance sapling preservation & seed

bank for green India. He said that “dedication is must to accomplish the goals and dreams in life.

Dr. Hariprasad Bidwe, Librarian of this college, also address the volunteers and passed a message

of menace of plant cutting for human greed. After the inspirational words of NSS officer and

Principal, we all move towards the place where tree plantation took place.

A very first tree plant by Mr. Satish Wagh in college premises and then Principal Dr. S.M

Nalawadee also plants a tree. Total tree planted by all others including teachers, volunteers and

other students was more than 11 on the day. All were happy and experience proud after the tree

plantation event was finished, because it really feels great to do positive respect to nature through

tree plantation drive.

11) 15th August Independence Day is celebrated with full of enthusiasm

REPORT - Independence Day Celebration Event-

75th Independence Day Celebration Day & Date- 15th August, 2021, Timing- 08:00AM –

09:00 AM in college campus Dr. V.G Mahajan , Program Officer-NSS, took initiatives for this

event

Objectives: 1) Remembrance of our Freedom Fighters

2)Paying tribute to the motherland INDIA

3)To encourage students and faculty members to respect the Nation

Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 15/08/2021. National Flag

hosted by principal Dr. S.M Nalawade . A great day and a proud moment for every Indian, college

students were all set to celebrate the independence day of India.

Everyone on the campus was geared up & enthused for the momentous occasion. Dr. S.M

Nalawade addressed in his speech that how India got independence; it is the day when we got

freedom from the British rule after many years of hard struggle by the great freedom fighters of

India. It took sacrifices of many freedom fighters and several decades of struggle from 1857 to

1947. Finally the result of long years of struggle came in front on 15th of August 1947 when India

got freedom. Independence brings in basic fundamental rights to all the citizens of this country. We

celebrate Independence Day every year on 15th of August to remember the first day of freedom of

India as well as remember all the sacrifices of the great leaders who have sacrificed their lives in

getting freedom for India.

To instillation of sound values and a sense of national pride. Everyone paid their respect and

saluted the National Flag and sang the National Anthem with great enthusiasm, Dr. V.G Mahajan ,

Program Officer, NSS in his speech addressed the students about this great national event, he

restated; we are lucky, that our forefathers have given us a land of peace and contentment where we

can live without fear. Learning outcomes: - Students got motivation to participate in National

Integration Programme and Social gatherings for the betterment of the community.
