Stages of Clay

1. Slip – Liquid clay, the glue used in attachment and decoration

2. Plastic – Stage at which clay is modeled3. Leather Hard – Stiff but still workable – still

some moisture, cool to the touch4. Bone Dry – Completely Dry, no moisture left5. Greenware – Unfired ceramics, bone dry clay6. Bisqueware – Clay that has been fired once7. Glazeware – Glazed bisqueware
