A document from Ground Saucer Watch, the first UFO group to investigate the Walton story. They talked to Travis' brother and mother while he was still "missing," and strongly concluded that it was a hoax. This document is unfortunately difficult to read. More about it is on http://debunker.com/texts/walton.html .

KARI PFLOCK

i

Robert Sheaffer
Note
A tantalizingly brief skeptical analysis of the Walton story by the late Karl Pflock, in the Foreten Times, Januiary, 2001. Pflock notes how Travis' description of the 'craft' is curiously similar to that in a "classic" science fiction tale by Robert A. Heinlein. Pflock elsewhere raises the suggestion that the five witnesses to the 'abduction' need not themselves have been in on the hoax, but were simply fooled by some cheesy lights set up in the woods, and by bad acting. See http://debunker.com/texts/walton.html .
