Reflection
The feeding of the five thousand shows the remarkable generosity of God and his great kindness towards us. When God gives, he gives abundantly. He gives more than we need for ourselves that we may have something to share with others, especially those who lack what they need. God takes the little we have and multiplies it
for the good of others. Do you trust in God's provision for you and do you share freely with others, especially those who lack?
Lord Jesus Christ, you satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts and you feed us with the finest of wheat (Psalm 81:16). Fill me with gratitude for your blessings and give me a generous heart that I may freely share
with others what you have given to me.

Our prayer shawl ministry has been very busy
recently. Helen Prentiss, a long time parishioner,
lovingly and prayerfully knits beautiful shawls for
presentation to parishioners. A prayer card and a
Our Lady of Perpetual Help medal complete the
package. Recently Helen completed one for our
beloved pastor Fr. Tom. It was blessed by Fr. Aldrin
and graciously accepted by Father. Let all of us pray
for his recovery and return to health. We miss you
Father Tom. Thank you Helen.
CATHOLIC WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION Our” Go To Girl” Dottie Polizzi just completed
redoing our banner with our new name. Thank you again Dottie. You are such a blessing.

Sometimes called Alphonsus Maria Liguori, was an Italian Catholic bishop, spiritual writer, composer, musician, artist, poet, lawyer, scholastic philosopher, and theologian. He founded the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (the Redemptorists).
In 1762 he was appointed Bishop of Sant'Agata dei Goti. A prolific writer, he published nine editions of his Moral Theology in his lifetime, in addition to other devotional and ascetic works and letters. Among his best known works are The Glories of Mary and The Way of the Cross, the latter still used in parishes during Lenten devotions.
He was canonized in 1839 by Pope Gregory XVI and proclaimed a Doctor of the Church by Pope Pius IX in 1871. One of the most widely read Catholic authors, he is the patron saint of confessors.
