What is it? Shinjuku (新宿区 ) is one of the 23 special

wards of Tokyo, Japan. It is a major commercial and administrative centre, housing the busiest train station in the world (Shinjuku Station) and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, the administration centre for the government of Tokyo.

As of 2008, the ward has an estimated population of 312,418 and a population density of 17,140 people per km². The total area is 18.23 km

Shinjuku Gyoen Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (新宿御苑 ) is a large park with an eminent garden in Shinjuku and Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. It was originally a residence of the Naitō family (daimyo) in the Edo period. Afterwards, it became a garden under the management of the Imperial Household Agency of Japan. It is now a park under the jurisdiction of the national Ministry of the Environment.

Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office (TMG) The Tokyo Metropolitan Government

Building (東京都庁 , Tōkyō Tochō) in Shinjuku is often visited by tourists for its free observation decks which provide good panoramic views of Tokyo and beyond. The 243 meter tall building has two towers, and each houses an observatory at a height of 202 meters. It had been the tallest building in Tokyo until it was overtaken by the Midtown Tower in 2007.
