To apply you must:• be a Fellow of RGS-IBG

Have geographical training:• Hold an Honours degree in Geography or a related subject (60% geography)• Have 6 years post-graduation experience• OR have no degree and 15 years experience

Have the right experience• Prove you are applying geographical skills and

knowledge• Demonstrate a range of CPD activities• Demonstrate a passion for geography• Justify why you want to be a CGeog

A framework of competencies has also been developed to help those working towards achieving Chartered Geographer status, looking at the four key areas of work experience most valued by the assessment panel. The competencies provide examples in these areas, which are based around the ability to:
