Subprogram 1: International migration, changing welfare regimes and the political economy of ethnic labour market segmentation

• studies on migration,

•changing work organisation and ethnic segmentation in private and public sectors of the economy.

•work environments, occupational health and safety and national and supra-national institutions shaping industrial relations.

•It studies practices of the social partners for inclusion/exclusion of migrants and ethnic minorities

•informal processes based on the mobilisation of civil society and the instrumentalisation of social networks and social capital.

•It relates the political economy of international migration and changing ethnic relations to the study of changing welfare regimes and labour market regulation and to the incremental influence of supra-national frameworks of governance in the EU and other regional formations.
