Em 1900 alguns físicos pensavam
que a física estava praticamente
completa.
Lord Kelvin recomendou que os
jovens não se dedicassem à
física, pois só faltavam alguns
detalhes pouco
interessantes, como o
refinamento de medidas.

Exemplo Modelo: Considerando a
situação anterior, suponha que o
observador situado no interior do
vagão, referencial S’, registre em seu
relógio que o intervalo de tempo entre
dois eventos quaisquer ocorridos
dentro do vagão foi ) t’ = 12 min e
que a velocidade do vagão em
relação à plataforma seja v = 0,8 c
(80% da velocidade da luz no vácuo).
Calcule o valor do intervalo de tempo
entre esses mesmos dois eventos
medidos pelo relógio da observadora
situada na plataforma.
