ATTACKS

Acid Rain

Q: When is the (4 Kairu) paid to increase this Attacks power?

A: When you play the Attack. In other words, as part of the cost of playing the Attack.

Berserker

Q: Can I play this Attack without paying its cost if a Character on my team has been damaged twice in

the same damage zone, but nowhere else?

A: No, this Attacks cost is only reduced if one of your Characters has two different damage zones filled.

Blackhole

Q: Can this cards effect be used when a player has no cards in hand to discard to it?

A: No, if a player is unable to pay the alternate cost, then the effect cant be used.

Blind

Q: Does this Attacks REACT ability require the player who is using it to have no cards in hand for the

ability to stop an Attack?

A: Yes, the player using the REACT needs to have no cards in their hand in order to stop an Attack with

it.

Blinding Light

Q: If a defeated Character on my team has blue defense, does it reduce this Attacks cost?

A: No, Characters that are defeated are not considered to have defenses or abilities.

Blizzard Axes / Blades / Hammers

Q: If this effect is active during my turn, do I pay the extra cost along with my Attacks cost or separatelyfrom my Attacks cost?

A: These effects create a trigger that occurs each time you play an attack. Once you play the attack, you

must then pay the indicated cost or your attack will be stopped.

Q: What happens if I use an effect to play an Attack without paying its (Kairu) cost while this effect is

active?

A: The extra (Kairu) still needs to be paid for the Attack or it is stopped.

Q: What happens if more than one of these cards hit in the same turn?

A: You must pay the indicated amount for each Blizzard attack that hits for each attack you play or the

attack will be stopped.

Body Toss

Q: If more than one Body Toss hits in the same turn, are multiple turns lost?

A: The lost turns are cumulative. You lose one turn for each Body Toss.

Borealis Blast

Q: If this Attacks effect is active on my turn, do I have to recharge (1 Kairu) fewer for card effects that

recharge Kairu during my turn (such as Feather Daggers)?

A: No, this Attacks effect only reduces (Kairu) recharged at the start of a turn.

Q: If two Borealis Blasts hit in the same turn, do their effects add together?

A: Yes, the player hit by both Borealis Blasts would recharge (2 Kairu) fewer at the start of their next

turn.

Cascading Vertigo

Q: Can this Attacks REACT ability stop an Attack if they only other Attack played that turn was stopped?

A: Yes, even though the first Attack was stopped, it counts as an Attack played, so any Attack after it willnot be the first Attack that turn.

Claw Slice

Q: If I have a defeated Character, is this Attacks cost changed to (7 Kairu) for effects that reference

Attack cost?

A: No, cards that reference an attacks cost refer to the printed cost. Claw Slices cost remains (10

Kairu), but you pay (3 Kairu) less to play it with a defeated Character.

Q: Do Characters with no red defenses gain this Attacks REACT ability bonus?

A: Yes, all Characters on your team gain +500 red defense, even if they had 0.

A: Yes. Defenses granted by this effect do not take up one of a characters defense zones. All

Otherwise, you just lose one from your maximum and your remaining Kairu stays the same.

Hailstorm

Q: If I play 5 Attacks in a turn to make Hailstorm cost (10 Kairu) less, do I gain or recharge (8 Kairu)?

A: No, if the cost of an Attack is less than zero, you just pay zero.

Q: What does this card do if it doesnt damage a zone or block defenses?

A: It can be played to increase the number of Attacks you have played in a turn without costing (Kairu).

Hydro Hooks

Q: If an Attack starts with more than 350 power but has its power reduced to 350 or less by another

effect, can Hydro Hooks REACT effect stop it?

A: Yes.

Q: If an opponent tries to use Hydro Hooks REACT effect to stop my Attack, can I use a REACT effect to

A: No, REACT effects occur as soon as they are paid for.

A: Yes, if at any time you have no cards in your hand, Hyper Hypnosis has +500 power.

A: Whenever you lose a Kairu, you lose one maximum Kairu. If all your Kairu is charged and you must

lose one, you must lose a remaining Kairu as well (since you can't have more than your maximum Kairu).

A: You cannot do this with most REACTs, as they require you to discard the card as a part of the cost.

Because the card is already in the discard pile, this condition cannot be met. However, REACTs that do

not require a discard may be played.

Q: Can I choose to play an Attack that does not hit or hits a zone that is already filled?

A: Yes, you can play any Attack from your discard pile this way. Whether it hits or not will be determined

after you choose an Attack to play and which Character you would like to play it on.
