Cover Artists

My magazine would incorporate cover stars similar to current day artist like The Weeknd, Rihanna, Chris Brown etc. this is

because the magazine would instantly be eye catching due their amazing success and leadership in the R&B genre. Further more the artists would represent the magazine perfectly as the genre is so big and so are the artists it would be hard for audiences to

mistake the issue or not have any interest

Locations…

My R&B magazine covers have a blank background and no sign of a certain location however for my magazine I'm going to go against this by having my artist in dark location however it wouldn’t be a very secretive spot it wold be more of an open shot in a park. Locations where people would sit and reminisce as R&B songs usually are about the past life or events of the artists. The dim lighting also represents the dark upbringing of artists who lived a dramatic life before reaching where they are today. The dark is also where a lot of secretive things go down from drugs, crimes, deals, sex etc. which is usually the main R&B theme

ClothingR&B is so popular and the outfit/makeup of the cover stars is very casual so it can be copied by the millions of fans. This is why my cover star will wear casual clothes that aren’t overly priced however they will not look scruffy the formality also matters and represents the type of magazine in a big way so although the outfit may not be flashy it will be formal and attractive. The make up will not be too important as my cover star will be male however imperfections like spots, scars, bruises will be covered so it isn’t visible to make the artist and the magazine attractive.

TV/Radio

Because R&B is enjoyed globally I would have recording of my artists from both Europe and USA however because my magazine is aimed at an English audience and the artist all speak all speak English I would keep them to English. Shows like Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, The late night show with Jimmy Falon. The magazine would also have at least one cover line with quote from an artists interview. Interviews allow audience to get to know their favourite artists even more and also allows newer people to find out new things about artists the just began to listen to. This would attract the audiences attention as on the main cover they would read cover lines and become curious wanting to find out more and more.
