a.指定專案目錄、名稱和上層實體。

b.指定專案設計檔案。

c.指定用於該專案的其他EDA工具。

d.指定該設計的Altera元件系列。e.指定元件（或指定用於自動選用元件的元件資訊）

f.審查專案設定。

運行新專案導引精靈（檔案功能表--File menu）

a.指定整個電路頻率要求（fMAX），或

指定一個或多個時鐘訊號的頻率要求。

b.輸入專案範圍內的系統建立時間（tSU）

、保持時間（tH）、時鐘至輸出時間（tCO）和接腳至接腳時間（tPD）要求。

c.指定內定的元件接腳輸入和輸出的外部延遲。

d.輸入控制時序分析和時序驅動編譯的設置。

Quartus II分配功能表管理著專案所有的設置和分配命令。選擇設置Settings （分配功能表--Assignments menu）查看樹形顯示的所有Quartus II設置選項。選擇轉換MAX+PLUS®II專案（檔案功能表--File menu）很方便地將MAX+PLUS II軟體的專案移植到Quartus II軟體上。
