Up to the present the applied research ofthe TITK, based on the pure textilecompetence in application of fibers in thetextile industry, has been developed to atop-modern, worldwide-known institute formaterials research.
The by the institute developed and patentedALCERU-process is a low-waste andenvironment-friendly technology for formingcellulose.
To manufacture functional fibers, amineoxides and water are used to separate thecellulose directly and without chemicalmodification, and the textile fibers are thenproduced in a spinning process.
