With the snow storms this winter, we had

to close down for a couple of days, OwnerCarol Evans explained.Customers can sign up for email blasts

on Smiths Disposals website and receivenotifications including holiday remindersand pick-up updates due to weather.

Smiths understands their customers haveseveral companies to choose from, and theyfeel a responsibility to earn their loyalty.

We have been doing this for a long time,said Archie Munson. We have been a smallhauler since 1981 and been able to compete

against the larger haulers, and we have beenable to expand. It speaks about our customerservice and value.

To offer more convenience, SmithsDisposal has invested in a new softwareprogram designed specifically for haulers.

It offers customers the option of automated bill pay and allows them to viewtheir account online. The web-based programallows Smiths Disposal to be morestreamlined and control costs.

They also recently added larger recyclecarts to fulfill customers needs for morerecycling. The 35-gallon cart also includesa lid and is on wheels so it is easy to roll.

Recycling has gotten more popular,said Evans.

Although they have expanded andstrengthened their operations, SmithsDisposal continues to offer the same greatservice.

Smiths hauls household garbage and hasa weekly curbside recycling service forpaper, plastics, and glass. Theyll assist youin disposing of large items and compost.Their staff is proud of the friendly and

Rich Skalnek has seen Lake Orion blossom from asmall community into a thriving region.Skalnek Ford is a fixture in thecommunity and is the oldest autodealership in Lake Orion. The dealershiphas anchored the area along S. LapeerRoad for these many years. We have been blessed to have beenhere at this site all these years, Skalnek said. Rich said there are several reasonswhy the dealership is thriving. It iscurrently ranked ninth among 180 dealers
