    WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

    AUSTRALIAN TAXATION SEMINAR AT AUSTRALIAN ASIAN ASSOCIATION

    To help you better understand the introduction of the Business Tax Break, we are organizing a series of workshops

    across Australia. These workshops will be run by representatives from the Australian Taxation Office who will answer

    your questions on these new measures. In your area, the next workshop is scheduled to be held at the Australian

    Asian Association, 275 Stirling Street, Perth, on Monday 12 October 2009 at 3.00 pm. The session will run for 90minutes including question time. Information will also be available in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Khmer, Korean,

    Thai, Turkish and Vietnamese languages.

    Admission is free for everyone and refreshments will be provided. You are welcome to bring along your friends or

    NOMINATION FOR WOMEN SUB COMMITTEE, ETHNIC COMMUNITIES COUNCIL OF WA

    We need to have a representative of PAWA on the Women Sub Committee which has played very active role in

    raising awareness about issues concerning CALD women and suggesting possible solutions and strategies. The

    meetings are held once every month on Tuesdays at 9.30 at 20 View Street, North Perth. Any of our members who

    are willing to participate as PAWA nominee on the subcommittee please let us know.

    ROUNDTABLE CONSULTATION: 12th October 2009, Level 8 235 St Georges Terrace Perth

    The Office for Women in the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs is

    conducting a review of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Act 1999 (EOWW Act) and the Equal

    Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA). The Office for Women has engaged KPMG to assist with

    the consultation process. The purpose of the roundtable is to complement the public submission and survey

    processes by exploring practical solutions to improve equal opportunity for women. Details are as follows:
