Paul Welna – Chief Operating Officer Welna is responsible for operations, client relations and the transportation groups at Murphy Warehouse Company. He began his career at Murphy in 1975 as a customer service representative before moving into operations two years later. He rose through the ranks to become vice president of operations in 1980. Welna holds an associate’s degree from North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, Minn. D. Thomas Griep, CPA, JD – Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Information Technology Griep is responsible for the financial, legal and technical health of the Murphy Warehouse Company. Griep joined Murphy in 2002 as the vice president of finance, and was named corporate secretary in 2004. His robust expertise includes warehousing, strategic planning, process improvement, negotiation, budgets, supply chain management, forecasting, mergers, contract negotiation, change management and financial analysis. Griep is a Certified Public Accountant, an attorney and a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas and a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, both in St. Paul, Minn. Wendy Pigorsch – Vice President of Talent Development and Communications Pigorsch oversees talent development and communications at Murphy Warehouse Company and is responsible for human resources, internal communications, public relations and marketing. She joined the Murphy team in 1996 as an executive assistant and quickly rose through the ranks to become human resources manager in 1996 and later human resources director in 2002. Pigorsch’s leadership over the years has been visible with her work in labor relations, employee
health, wellness and safety programs, OSHA compliance and Workers Compensation/return to work administration. She attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Greg Parupsky – Vice President of Client Relations and Business Development Parupsky’s focus is on building and strengthening relationships with current clients, as well as developing business with both new and existing clients. He began his career at Murphy Warehouse Company in customer service and was later promoted to director of business development in 2008. Parupsky is knowledgeable in specialized areas including supply chain logistics, all 3PL services and rail transloading. Parupsky holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and business from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minn., and is a recent graduate of the Minnesota Management Institute at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Jason Nesbitt – Vice President of Transportation and Business Growth Nesbitt is responsible for growth within the transportation groups at Murphy Warehouse Company. Jason joined Murphy in 2012 as director of business development, leveraging 13 years of experience in the logistics industry. With his strong leadership skills and solutions-‐oriented mindset, Nesbitt plays a critical role in Murphy’s transportation, distribution, warehousing, supply chain and logistics operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in logistics and industrial distribution from the University of Wisconsin/Stout in Menomonie, Wis. Laurie Murphy – Director of Quality Assurance As part of the fourth generation of the Murphy family to lead the company, Laurie Murphy is responsible for quality assurance at Murphy Warehouse Company. She joined the company in 1981, and in her role has ensured that the company every year is certified in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. She published the Murphy family history, Two Horses and a Wagon, 100 Years of Murphy in Business, in collaboration with the Ramsey County Historical Society.
She holds bachelor’s degrees in English and humanities from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, as well as a master’s degree in business administration from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Jean Parupsky – Director of Customer Service and Information Technology Parupsky is responsible for management of the customer service team and IT utilization at Murphy Warehouse Company. She specializes in supply chain logistics, 3PL services, customer care and relationship management. Parupsky joined Murphy in 1994, where she started as a Customer Service Representative. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French with a minor in mathematics from the University of Minnesota Morris in Morris, Minn. Cory Milczark – Director of Operations Milczark is responsible for warehouse start-‐up, transportation, truck and forklift maintenance, safety and security and operations. He is adept at solving storage problems, conducting audits, space utilization and customized projects for Murphy clients. He joined Murphy in 1992, where he started as a Warehouseman. Milczark attended the Minnesota Drafting School in Crystal, MN, and Hibbing Community College in Hibbing, Minn. Andy Welna – Director of Operations Welna is responsible for warehouse operations, transportation, customer audits, labor relations, safety and security. He is adept at solving storage problems, conducting audits, space utilization and customized projects for Murphy clients. He joined Murphy in 2008 as a Warehouse Manager leveraging 10 years of experience already in the logistics industry. Welna attended the University of Minnesota.
