Reparacija cementa
• Zaštitna reakcija cementoblasta (traumatska okluzija)

Uloge periodoncijuma1.Mehanička ulogaobezbedjuje fiksaciju zuba za zubnu alveoluamortizuje pritisak koji se tokom mastikacije prenosi
na alveolarnu kost2. Formativna uloga I uloga u
remodelaciji:Osteoblasti,Fibroblasti,cementoblasti3. Senzorna uloga: Receptori za bol mehanoreceptori
(doodir I pritisak). Proprioceptivni receptori u odgovorni za aktivnost mastikatornih mišića
