7Intended to Make a Window in the Wall of Taboos

Your heart becomes devoted when you put your hands together, so I feel like Im kind when Im in a church or a temple. But I feel an emotional change as if Im changing from herbivore to carnivore when I make a fist and grip

my praying hands tighter. Im the same whether my hands are together or theyre in a fist, but depending on the shape of my hands,

why does the feeling of my heart change to be rough from being gentle?Does this only apply to me?

While we live, we interact with various classes of people with many kinds of purpose. Meanwhile, we have conflicts and separate from one another when our values of the way we see the world

are different or there are conflict of interests.

The hands that used to handshake becomes fists and those fists borrow strength of group to become violence,

and sometimes it even becomes oppression and dictatorship.

Humans that have free will revolt when their freedom and rights are threatened by authority and ideologies. They thrash as if their blood of the heart is flowing backwards and soon they become warriors.

Struggle was the beginning of human history and it is not too much to say that human history was the history of struggle. They went to war for individual desires and to expand the territory of the group.Conflicts between people brought wars as did clashing ideologies.

Human history is the way it is now through hostility and struggles, and ironically, tremendoussacrifice through clashing, invasions, conquest, and rise and fall of civilizations and other

civilizations with conflicts between Islam and Christianity, Alexanders conquest of East, etc.,

became the force of new cultures and civilizations like Hellenism.

Thus, the world continues to dialectically differentiate and evolve.

Religion positively influences development and peace of mankind, but on the other hand,

doesnt it force martyrdom, and glorify sacrifice and murder with blind faith and madness,

instead of love and embracement under the name of God?Also, dont many countries still justify oppression and tyranny under the name of revolutionand patriotism?

My art hopes to make a window in the wall of such sacred taboos and become the air inside it, and wishes for different sceneries to be shown through the window. I want to draw new expressions on the mask of hypocrisy which is thickly painted over. Although it may be another false persona, isnt it the unavoidable fate of this contradictory

artist, living in a contradictory age?
