O’Neal Reed, Jr. entered into eternal peace on Thursday, Febru-ary 26, 2015 in the Dorn VA Medical Center-Warrior’s Walk. He was born on April 23, 1945 in Swansea, South Carolina the only son of the late O’Neal Reed, Sr. and Pauline Helm Reed. Mr. Reed attended public schools in Lexington County graduat-ing from Lakeview High School in West Columbia, South Caro-lina. Upon graduating O’Neal joined the United States Air force and served his country proudly. Returning home from the mili-tary, he worked for SCE&G as a Coach Operator for 28 years and was the proud owner of Reed’s Automotive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. O’Neal Reed, Sr. and Mrs. Pauline Helm Reed; two daughters: Ms. Tammy O’Neal Reed and Ms. Tina Paulette Reed; and a sister: Mrs. Ro-setta Harris. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 45 years: Dorothy M. Tillmon Reed; son: Michael (Tierra) Reed, of Fairmont, WV; daughter: Neavette Tucker, Columbia, SC; grandson: Brandon Tucker, of Columbia, SC; sisters: Verdia ( Rev. Jerald) Sanders, of Swansea, SC and Vernell Ward, of Landover, MD; sister-in-laws: Shirley (Herbert) Gleaton, Barbara (Roger) Earle and Eliz-abeth Smith, all of Cayce, SC, Wanda (Henry) Scott and Janice Tillmon, of West Columbia, SC. brother-in-laws: Rev. Johnny (Elizabeth) Tillmon, of Columbia, SC, Rev. Walter (Ruby) Tillmon, of Irmo, SC, Willie (Vermella) Tillmon, Cayce, SC, Joe Louis Tillmon, West Columbia, SC and Charles (Betty) Tillmon, of Columbia, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
