EXPLANATORY NOTES AND INSTRUCTIONS 1. The charted capacity for each section is worked out by actual charting of paths in Master Charts, based on the running time of slowest
goods train over critical section. This shows the maximum number of trains that can be run in a block section in 24 hours in each way. 2. The coaching path includes Special trains only (daily & non-daily group) run during the period due to COVID-19 pandemic situation. 3. Charted capacity, coaching paths & goods traffic flow on the higher side are taken as bench mark for calculation of percentage of capacity
utilization of a section. 4. The coaching paths for 2021-22 are taken on the basis of WTT – 2021 and future projection is calculated there upon. 5. The projection of goods traffic in various sections for future years worked out on the basis of traffic projected in approved DPRs of various
industries/end users and trend of traffic growth in past years. 6. Overall projection for future five years has been calculated considering the normal traffic movement prevailing prior to commencement of
COVID-19 pandemic.
