AbstractElectric power system includes the generation, transmission lines, distribution systems, and the load. Distribution system is a main part of electric power systems that directly related with consumer such as industrial level and hospitality as a large consumer and also residential area and household industries as a small consumer. Needed a good planing to get a reliable electricity distribution system. This research will be discussed of load flow optimization studies using ETAP Power Station. This research on 20 kV line at PT. PLN (Persero) Yogyakarta Sedayu Rayon area. Expected for this research will get a reliable and stability electric system.

• A power distribution system planning is important to ensure that the growth of electric power can be anticipated with the system development or an addition with technically and economically qualified.
Background
Distribution system is a line that most ranges with overload so that frequent explosions on the transformer distribution due to overload.

• Godean sub station have two power transformer 30 MVA. Godean sub station have 6 feeder : GDN 01, GDN 02, GDN 03, GDN 04, GDN 05 dan GDN 06.

Standing Operation Procedure
• Important factors that affect the continuity distribution is regulation and operation of distribution system when work and interference network, so that the turning off can be made as small as possible. In addition, fast to transfer the load to the charging source backup and isolate disturbance.
The Discussion
• When transfer of load is load fault condition or over load so the transfer load will be done.
• Transfer of load accordance with Standing Operation Proccedure (SOP).
• To find effect of transfer load so load flow optimization studies will be done.

Analysis
• Load flow studies used Newton-Rhapson method with ETAP Power Station 7.0.0. version. This method suggested for first using in ETAP Power Station 7.0.0 version program.

Conclution
Conclution• When the disruption or maintenance on the GDN feeder 01 can be
optimized so that the transfer of load can be overcome. On the feeder GDN 02 and GDN 03 the optimization so less due to of the load transfer bigger than the load transfer in the feeders. On feeders GDN 04 the optimization load flow can be done with transfer of load about ± 50%. On the feeder GDN 05 optimization load flow when the load transfer can be done so that on the 4 bus can be answered with the transfer of load by feeders transfer.
• Load transfer needs to be done if the interruption or maintanance but should pay attention of load flow and the condition of the area being diverted because it can lead to huge losses if the load is transfer does not fit or is not able to overcome by switching of feeders.
