孩子一起尋找快樂鑰匙在金融海嘯中與

金融海嘯不止衝擊成年人，孩子亦會被憂慮和緊張的氣氛影響。The financial tsunami does not only affect the adults, but also the children.

感謝各界好友及市民大眾的支

持，本院首次全港售旗日及一年一

度的朱古力義賣已圓滿結束。雖然

全球籠罩在金融海嘯的陰霾下，逆

境卻未能動搖各界關愛之情，本院

仍然獲得市民的踴躍捐助，實在感

激萬分！正如今期專題文章提及，

雖然金融海嘯捲走了財富，逆境帶

來憂慮和不安，但一個感恩和知足

的心靈，足以讓我們抵禦海嘯，繼

續快樂地生活 。聖經說「喜樂的心

乃是良藥」，所以本院開展了「臨床

心理輔導服務」，以關愛、包容和接

納幫助兒童懷抱喜樂的心，塑造柔

韌有餘的生命，以迎接未來更多的

挑戰。

the aim to strengthen our caring

work and help the children build

up resilience and face challenges of

their lives.

由雷曼迷債、金融海嘯以至最近不少中外資機構的裁員減薪潮，大多數香港人均未能置身事

外。社會充斥著憂慮和緊張的氣氛，金融海嘯的影響不止衝擊成年人，孩子也未能倖免。

根據最近一間非政府機構調查數據顯示，金融海嘯下有關家庭經濟環境改變而求助的個案有持

續上升的趨勢。兒童作為家庭成員的一份子，固然容易擔心父母會失業和減薪，更重要的是憂

慮家庭會否因此改變。

在金融海嘯的浪潮下，究竟身為家長的你，如何「逆境自強」? 又如何讓孩子「安然過渡」?

且看心理學對有關課題的提示：

The financial tsunami has brought a fog of anxiety and distress to the Hong Kong society. It affected

not only the working class, but also our children and families. According to a recent community survey,

the number of families seeking professional help due to the financial turmoil

was on the increase. Faced with this adversity, our children may feel

insecure or worried. How could parents help them?

認清幸福源頭　感恩知足

有研究顯示，過去幾十年的經濟增長沒有帶來人類額外的

快樂。以美國為例，1950年代有35%的被訪者說自己非常快

樂，2000年代則有33%，人們的快樂沒有隨物質上的富裕而增

加。相反地，隨之而來的是倍增的離婚率、青少年自殺率及犯

罪率。

相信不少人均會認同，在快樂的方程式中，金錢往往是達

致我們夢想的不二法門。金錢的確可以滿足我們不少物質上的

需要，然而，它絕對不是幸福的源頭。金錢不能為我們帶來

融洽的家庭、健康的身體和珍貴的友誼。面對金融海嘯，在

數算自己的損失之餘，你有沒有為自己仍然擁有的東西，包括

健康、家庭、工作及朋友等而「感恩」呢？你將會發現原來自己

「得到」的遠比「失去」的多。事實上，快樂不只是因為財富的累

積。快樂，是源自知足。

學習放下藝術　專注現在

印度有一個傳說：那些捕捉猴子的人，只將食物放在一個特

製的箱內，當貪食的猴子伸手入箱，抓滿食物之後，牠的手就

不能抽離箱子那狹窄的洞口。即使獵人一步一步的接近，若果

牠仍然頑固不放開食物，結果就只有坐以待斃，成為獵人的囊

中物。這故事比喻我們不懂得放手的後果，若我們想做聰明的

猴子，我們就要學懂放下，接納失去。

金融海嘯或許帶走不少金錢，卻不能帶走快樂。Adversity may take away our money but not happiness.

Realizing the source of bliss and be thankful

Research has already indicated that economic growth from

the last few decades has not cheered people up. On the contrary,

more cases of divorce, adolescent suicide and crimes have been

recorded. Generally, we are prone to equate “happiness” with “wealth”.

However, we should recognize the fact that “wealth” is not the

source of bliss and joy. We cannot buy a harmonious family, health

and precious friendships. Instead of counting what we do not have,

we should focus on what we have, such as our health, family, work,

friendships and etc..

Letting go and accepting the loss

There is a legend in India: The hunters made a special box

with food inside to hunt for monkeys. When the monkeys saw the

box, they put their hands into the box and then got trapped. If the

monkey did not “let go” of the food in the box, they would be killed

when the hunters arrived. This legend illustrates the importance of

“letting go” and accepting loss.

Inevitably, the financial tsunami may take away our money

and inflict on us psychological pain and a sense of failure. Yet, it can

never take away our perseverance and will power. From another

perspective, adversity could hone us to be tougher and stronger.

It is no use crying over the spilt milk, so let’s work on what we can

control, e.g. setting our goals and seizing our days.

金融海嘯或許為我們帶走不少金錢，帶來不少痛苦和挫

敗。然而，逆境不能帶走和磨滅我們的意志，只會令我們更堅

強。人生中有不少事情，大如香港的經濟或小如別人對自己的

看法等，我們都沒有能力控制。與其浪費時間怨天尤人，不如

多專注於可控制的事情上，為自己訂立新的目標，把握現在。

多與家人分擔　隨遇而安

逆境往往能給予我們歇息停頓的空間，思考人生課題。以

往的生活營營役役，現在不妨趁機多與家人相聚，分擔一切，

或者主動關心及幫助其他不幸的人，體會一下施比受更有福的

道理。

給予孩子肯定　共渡時艱

在金融海嘯下，孩子難免可能因為家庭氣氛及課外活動的

轉變而感到困惑、憂慮及不安。在經濟不景氣中，家長可多嘗

試安排所費不多的家庭活動，例如：踏單車、烹飪、行山等作

為親子時間。更應多鼓勵孩子做好自己的本份，如努力學習、

愛護兄弟姊妹、協助做家務等，作為給予父母最大的支持。同

時，孩子可透過不同的行動，包括擁抱、做手工、畫圖畫、寫

心意咭等，來表達對父母的關心。家長亦不妨以金融海嘯作為

與孩子學習怎樣面對逆境的分享課題。

人生總有得失順逆，這是無可避免的現實。然而，所謂

「柳暗花明又一村」，願我們在困境中學習以平常心接受失落，數

算感恩，以身教與孩子一起樂觀迎變！

家長不妨趁機與孩子分享怎樣面對逆境的課題，多鼓勵孩子做好自己的本份如愛護兄弟姊妹，作為給予父母最大的支持。Parents can encourage children to show their care to other family members by fulfilling their responsibilities, e.g. caring for their siblings.

Sharing your worries with your family

Adversity gives you a chance to reflect upon our life. To weather

this financial turmoil, you could spend more time with your beloved

ones to show them love and care. Furthermore, you can show your

concern to those less fortunate. It is always more a blessing to give

than to take.

Encouraging your children and teaching

them to show care

Our children may feel confused, worried and insecure given

the changes of family atmosphere. As parents, we can encourage

our children to show their care to other family members and fulfill

their responsibilities, e.g. studying hard, caring for their siblings and

shouldering household chores. Children can also use their own ways

to express their love, such as hugs, handicrafts, drawings, etc.. The

financial tsunami can also be a good lesson for our children to learn

how to cope with adversity.

Life is full of ups and downs that fall beyond our control.

However, “happiness” is always within our reach as long as we stay

positive, accept loss and cherish what we have in life!

聖基道早前面對一些不盡不實的報導，金寶通執行董事歐陽婉琳（Una）對我們說：

「當我看到報紙的標題，都提不到興趣看內文，我認識聖基道兒童院已很久，我是完全信任

聖基道的工作……」中國人常說：得一知己，死而無憾，聖基道獲得如此知己，定當更努力為

有需要的兒童提供適切的服務，以謝支持。

金寶通支持聖基道兒童院約六年，但Una認識聖基道始於小時候 ：「我曾於聖公會轄下的學校接受幼稚

園、小學及中學的教育，小時候亦曾到聖基道兒童院做義工，所以很早已認識聖基道。約在六年前，公司欲

建立愛心文化，故揀選了幾間服務機構商議合作計劃，當中包括聖基道兒童院。但了解不同服務後，只有聖

基道主動聯絡我們跟進，於是便開始雙方的合作。」 聖基道積極進取的精神，在與金寶通開展合作計劃中表

露無遺。

在Una的帶領下，金寶通定期安排同事與兒童到不同地方參觀及遊玩，又贊助聖基道兒童參加外展訓練

活動。多年來接觸本院的兒童及工作人員，Una又有甚麼體會呢？「從多次的活動中，我發現小朋友大多很容

易滿足，只要我們付出小小時間去關懷他們，他們已可以樂上大半天。而兒童院的『家長』則扮演著一個亦

師亦友的角色，他們不但照顧小朋友的日常需要，同時亦灌輸小朋友待人處事之道，讓小朋友如置

身於自己家裏。」

除了贊助及安排活動，每年暑假金寶通都為本院中四、五兒童提供見工技巧培訓及辦

公室工作實習，令兒童獲益良多。問到Una為何願意安排此類職前培訓，因為要教導完

全沒有工作經驗的小朋友，可能會加重同事的負擔。

「我們只是盡社會企業的責任，在有限的資源下為弱勢社群的兒童及青少

年提供幫助及工作實習，使他們認識辦公室的環境及汲取經驗，對日後升

學或就業都有幫助。其實參與兒童都很乖巧，同事們都很歡迎他們，加上

他們在學會基本的工作技巧後，都能實際幫助同事減輕工作量。」

與聖基道兒童一起工作，相處時間多了，Una發現他們的思想、行為

和舉止都比同齡的小朋友成熟 ：「其實真的要多謝各『家長』的辛勞及付

出。現在，我仍會與這些實習生互通電話及聚會，大家建立朋友的關係，

當他們離院後遇到學業或工作上的問題，都會主動請教我們。」

Una是一個重感情的人，從她非常看重與實習生們的情誼，以及多年來

對聖基道的「不離不棄」，可見一班。面對外界各種的衝擊以及經濟環境的

滑落，聖基道實在十分需要像Una一樣的伙伴同行。「看到一些不盡不實的報

導，我是不會相信的，因為我很清楚你們的工作，對你們非常信任。」Una對

聖基道的信任，我們在此衷心再說一聲「多謝！」

100% Trust in the Home

“I give St. Christopher's Home 100% trust…” Ms. Una Auyang, the Executive Director of

Computime said. Facing unfriendly reports recently, the Home is thankful to Una’s unfailing

friendship and support.

Una knows the Home since she was small. But the close relationship between us was established when

Computime partnered with the Home six years ago. Under the leadership of Una, Computime provides regular

volunteer service and sponsorship to the Home. “From the volunteer activities, we realize the children of St.

Christopher's Home are simple. They are easily contented when they receive outsiders’ care. While the house-parents

of the Home demonstrate their responsibility, they give guidance and put much effort on providing a home-like

environment to the children.”

Besides volunteer service and sponsorship, Computime also provides annual pre-vocational training to the

Home’s F.4 and F.5 children. “We try to fulfill the spirit of corporate citizen and hope to empower the children with

skills and knowledge to face future challenges. Our colleagues welcome them very much as the children under

placement are clever and able to relieve our workload after training. We found the children are well nurtured at the

Home and they are more mature than other children of the same age. We believe it is the contribution of the house-

parents whom we want to give thanks. Now, we keep in touch with the children and become true friends. When they

encounter problems on study or career, they will call us for advice.”

Una values relationship, which is fully reflected by her precious friendship with our children and the Home. Facing

much challenges this year, Una told us that she trusted us fully, “I know St. Christopher's Home for long and I believe in

your ministry and your staff!”

We sincerely thank Una’s trust in us and the Home promises to work harder to fulfill our mission of helping

children live a life of fullness.

「聖基道全港售旗日」已於2009年1月10日圓滿結束，活動獲得126間機構支持，招募超

過六千名售旗義工。當天天氣非常寒冷，市區氣溫只得9度，但無損義工的慈善心，最終為本

院籌得善款超過港幣165萬元。善款將用以開展「愛苗行動」，以跨專業手法強化對兒童的培

育，關顧孤兒及來自破碎家庭兒童身、心、靈的需要，讓他們如幼苗般的生命，得以茁壯成

長。特此衷心感謝市民的捐款，各團體和個人義工的支持和協助。

The first Flag Day of St. Christopher's Home was successfully held

on January 10, 2009. 126 organizations and over 6,000 volunteer flag

「聖基道　愛心」朱古力義賣在2009年3月14日公開義賣後圓滿結束。即使面對金融海嘯

嚴峻的衝擊，本院仍然深深感受到各方對兒童真摰的關愛。是次活動超過100間機構／團體參

與支持，1,200位義工協助於全港28個義賣攤位推銷愛心朱古力。經過初步點算，是次義賣活

動為本院籌得超過120萬元善款，善款將會用作拓展及改善本院服務，幫助一群較不幸的兒童

活出豐盛人生。特此鳴謝各團體的支持和協助，感激支持！

The Love Chocolate Charity Sale ended on March 14, 2009. More than 100 organizations and 1,200

volunteers gave their unconditional support. Though in the midst of financial turmoil, over $1.2 million

來自不同單位的兒童在台上施盡渾身解數，競逐「聖誕傳說」講故事比賽大獎。Children were excited to show their talents in the story-telling competition.

開展本院兒童大都來自破碎家庭，他們正處於需要被愛與支援的心理發展階段，但卻因複雜的家庭背景，不幸地活在

心理困擾當中。有見及此，院方於2008年11月增添臨床心理輔導服務，為本院有需要的兒童提供全面的心理評估及

介入，幫助兒童克服逆境，培育茁壯的心靈，活出一個自信自強的人生。服務同時為同工提供專業的諮詢及支援，盼

望藉此促進本院兒童的全人健康發展。

In November 2008, the Home launched a pioneer service, Clinical Psychological Service, with the aim to enable our

children to develop optimistic attitude and build up a healthy psychology. It offers a full range of psychological assessments and

intervention service for our children, as well as provides professional consultation and support to the staff.

2008年聖誕聚餐已於12月13日舉行。在場嘉賓、同工和兒童都積極參與

各項環節，場面溫馨熱鬧！其中講故事比賽由出席者以一人一票形式選出優勝單

位，增添投入感。而抽獎環節亦改用了遊戲形式進行，刺激緊張。今年無論大

人或兒童都感受到聖誕的溫暖，又得到豐富的禮物，可說是盡興而歸！在此要

多謝各界熱心人士對本院之支持，讓一年一度的聖誕聚餐增添姿彩。

The Home’s Christmas Dinner was held on December 13,

2008. Everyone enjoyed a good time with active involvement

in the programs. It appeared that everyone found the lucky

draw was the climax of the night and was happy with the gifts

they received. We would like to thank our friends and partners

for their long-standing support, which added excitement to

our annual Christmas gathering.

3月1日是本院的同工退修日，當日的主題「塑造柔韌生命、關愛、欣賞、包容」更是特別為同工而設，讓大家從忙碌的工作中停下來，通過不同的活動學習建立柔韌生命！

沅雅 131人竟然可以在7秒內一起站在43張椅子上……很欣賞同工主動站出來作指揮。當日真的有許多值得回憶的片段，希望我們都可以繼續彼此關愛、欣賞和包容！

健苗軒自2007年7月開始服務至今，已為超過500名兒

童提供成長訓練及教育，大部份家長均認為孩子在中心的教

導下有顯著的進步。為了讓外界更認識中心的服務，健苗軒於

2008年11月19日舉辦了首個開放日，更邀得董事會主席林壽

楓法政牧師、副主席關恒生先生及贊助人已故蕭瓊秀女士後

人蕭始平先生，共同主持健苗軒開放日暨鳴謝牌匾揭幕儀式。

Since the beginning of service in July last year, more than 500

children have received training services provided by Kidsmind.

Parents were excited to witness their children’s substantial

improvement through various training programs. On November 19,

2008, Kidsmind held its first Open Day and invited The Revd Canon

Lam Sau Fung, the Council Chairman of the Home, Mr. Alexander

Kwan, the Vice-chairman and the descendant of the major

contributor, Mr. Siu, to officiate the Acknowledgement Plaque

Unveiling Ceremony.
