In these unprecedented times of globalised uncertainty and challenges and the need for greater innovation and productivity, organisations need to have leaders who are aware of their own drivers in order to lead from a core foundation of strength, clarity and vision.

Purpose-driven leaders are rich in their sense-making of the challenges they face and their own power to make an impact because they are attuned to interpreting and integrating personal meaning and external factors. They are able to discern core elements underlying frameworks in order to address what is at the heart of issues. They are resilient because their motivation is founded within and this enables them to be principled, ethical and courageous in their decision-making.

To be Purpose-driven as a leader is to be an exceptional leader whose voice is not driven by ego, but is embedded in one’s self-knowledge and insights. Purpose-driven leaders by virtue of making the effort to connect with their authenticity and humanity are high in emotional intelligence. This enables them to excel in interpersonal relations as they actively listen and seek to understand meaning and be constructive to empower and influence others positively. These individuals solve problems from a basis of strength and inner drive to withstand shifting external dynamics. They are resilient as their strengths do not run dry, but are replenished as they tap into their own resources to enable them to excel in their unique purposeful way.

HOW CAN AN EXECUTIVE BECOME A PURPOSE DRIVEN LEADER?

It is not easy to reorient a leader to identify their leadership as a Purpose-driven leader and then understand it in the context of the organisation’s purpose, but if facilitated by the right person and in an authentic and skilful way, it will be the most impactful thing for an organisation and its people.

HOW WILL THIS PROGRAM BENEFIT THE ORGANISATION?Organisations benefit immensely from executives who are Purpose-driven Leaders. They are aware and appreciative of their power to contribute to the organisation’s big picture from a foundation that is personally meaningful. Investing in enabling a leader to become a Purpose-driven leader is to invest in building mastery, autonomy and clarity between an individual’s Purpose and the organisation’s endeavours. As the two systems intertwine, both the individual and organisation advance as they are in sync to catalyse potential and make an impact.
