Oxytocin

Synthesized as the precursor hormone:

prepro-oxyphysin

Action primarily on the breasts and uterus

Increases contraction of smooth muscle

of Vas Deferens

FUNGSI:

1. Pengeluaran ASI (= Milk ejection = milk

letdown)

2. Kontraksi uterus

Partus

Fertilisasi ovum mudah

Alveoli kelenjar mamma diliputi oleh

MYOEPITHELIAL CELLS yang akan berkontraksi

oleh pengaruh oxytocin

Hipotalamus

Hipofisis anterior

Ovulasi (-)

Menstruasi (-)

KB alami

GnRH ↓

FSH/LH (Gn) ↓

PADA GRAVIDITAS (KEHAMILAN):

1. Pada uterus jumlah reseptor oxytocin ↑ → lebih peka pada oxytocin

2. Pada akhir kehamilan, hipofisis posterior sekresi oxytocin ↑ .

3. Rangsangan/iritasi/stretching pada cervix uteri,uterus dan vagina oxytocin dilepaskan.

4. Hipofisektomi pada hewan coba → partus lebih lama.

Spermatozoa lebih cepat sampai di tuba fallopii
