YOUR NEXT FEW DAYS......
Congratulations, you have made a great decision to join the ICMS student community. Orientation Week (O-Week) is just the start of what lies ahead in your journey with us. This week will be full of fun times and it’s a great chance to get involved and experience all ICMS has to offer.
O-Week is a great time for you to participate in activities, meet other new students like yourself, as well as see all the opportunities that are here for you. ICMS is a welcoming and caring place to be, where we all look after one another and help each other out. You will be entering a new environment and things may feel different. Take time to familiarise yourself with the culture so you soon feel like you belong and have an incredible student experience. Keeping a healthy balance will also be important. This week will give you a taste of all the student activities and groups that you can get involved in as well as the support that is here for you.
You will have the chance to interact with student volunteers, your Student Representative Council (SRC) members, Resident Leaders (RLs)
as well as getting to know the people at ICMS. Over the coming weeks, you will meet people that will be here to assist you so you can make the most of your time here, and achieve your full potential. Also take time to connect with your lecturers, staff members and your peers. You will soon feel like you’re part of a supportive community.
We want to share your future success and we look forward to being part of your journey. Enjoy!

Around the campus this week you will meet some great people who will help you settle in to your ICMS student life. They will be on hand to guide you through the week and share insider tips to give you the best possible start to being an ICMS student. You won’t miss them – they will be wearing special O-Week t-shirts!
The Student Representative Council (SRC) strives to improve and maintain the quality of student life for the entire student body. During O-Week, the SRC helps with organising student activities and parties. Contact Student Experience if you want to learn more about the SRC.
Your Resident Leaders and Advocates (RLs and RAs) are senior student leaders who live on campus and provide all students with support throughout their time here at ICMS. They are trained to be able to offer support and advice on a range of day-to-day matters, including emotional support, student comfort, safety and behaviour. They have undergone training to provide mental and physical first aid and emergency response. They are also a student voice and can help you to resolve issues about student life on campus. To learn more about the team, please follow the ICMS Castle Life on Instagram.
ICMS Student Ambassadors work alongside the Domestic and International Development team to represent the College at internal and external events such as career weeks, career days, open days, school visits and information nights. Their primary role is to provide students and their families with an insight into academic and social life at ICMS, based on their experiences. During O-Week, they will be around to help in any way possible.
We have fantastic current students at ICMS who spend their free time helping with the needs of new students and making O-Week a fun, enjoyable and welcoming experience for everyone. If you see a volunteer, please say hello! They’re friendly faces on campus to chat about student life, services and the campus. They will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Interested in becoming a volunteer? Please join the ICMS volunteer page on Facebook.
