Norway is the country that give the
important to the human rights and stability
so, Norwegian is generous to foreigner and
also at the same time, they ready to help
Another people that have no chance.
All of this cause the foreigner have the
nationality of Norwegian about 8 percent of
the population. The foreigner that have the
nationality of Norwegian mostly
Pakistan, Kurdish, Somali and Vietnamese.

Shake hands with everyone when meeting.
Norwegians are egalitarian and casual; they
often introduce themsname only.
Norwegians like to celebrate many holidays
with dancing and food.
On the morning of December 13, the
oldest girl in the house gets up very early.
She puts on a white gown and makes tea
and biscuits. She then places four candles
on a wreath and lights them. With the food
on a tray, the girl walks down the hall and
gives everyone in her family breakfast in
bed.
Norwegians like to eat a bread-like food
called lefse.
Do not give white flowers as they are used at
funerals.
Do not give wreaths, even at Christmas.
Do not give even numbers of flowers.
A houseplant is well received in the winter
months.
A panicle of freshly picked wildflowers is
always appreciated.
Gifts are opened when received.

1536 Norway ceases to be an independent kingdom.
1814 The Norwegian Constitution adopted, based on
the American Declaration of Independence.
1814 - 1905 Union with Sweden.
1905 End of Union. Haakon VII crowned king.
1913 Universal right to vote for women: Norway is among the
first in the world to grant suffrage.
1940 - 1945 World War II, Norway occupied by Germany.
1957 Death of Haakon VII - Olav V crowned king.
1970 Oil and gas deposits discovered off the Norwegian coast.
1981 Norway's first female Prime Minister.
1991 Death of Olav V, Harald V becomes king.
