NORSGARD is a game that takes you into the worldof eternal winter – Isbran. A world where valor andcold steel mean more than the glisten of gold. InIsbran it is the brave, not the wealthy, that deserveto become heroes of stories told over mugs of ale.Bands of champions traverse the old roads to fulllmissions given by their sovereigns or in search offame and fortune.Across the lands of Isbran, a perennial war betweenthe forces of good and evil rages. For centuries thestalwart templars of the Order of the Ram have

been engaged in a bitter struggle against the elves,the forever damned. Both sides have committedterrible atrocities, casting a long shadow over entireIsbran... Demons, long ago banished by elves, havereturned and enlisted new allies – the barbarians ofthe tribe of Mork. Now the Order of the Ram facesa new threat. Are they up to the challenge? Every warrior has an important part to playon the eld of battle; swordmasters try their steel induels to the death while powerful mages attempt tosway the tide of battle by arcane spells, but withoutan accomplished commander, their efforts aredoomed to fail.NORSGARD features a unique game system,

which allows the players to make decisions atevery step of the match, offering much more thansimple dice rolling. At the same time, the rules arestraightforward enough to learn over the course oftwo or three games. Of course, to fully grasp theworkings of your army and win consistently willtake you many more battles, for each army offers adistinct play style.NORSGARD is more than just battles. Tecampaign system allows for leveling up each of yourghters not unlike in an RPG. From battle to battle,

they steadily grow in power... So long as they donot cross paths with a warrior stronger than they,for then the injuries they suffer may render themincapable of ghting any further.Finally, NORSGARD is not merely a game, it is alsoa rich world, a world of legends and heroes. It is alsofantastic models and illustrations to immerse youin the universe of Isbran.

A player may never roll more than 10 diceduring a single standard test. I the number odice to be rolled would exceed 10, reduce it to10 be ore rolling.

Likewise, the maximum number o successesachievable in a standard test caps out at 10.Should the player roll more than 10 successes,as a result o rolling additional dice, or example,reduce them to 10.

In both standard and opposed tests, the minimum value o the attribute being tested is 1.Should it or any reason all below 1, increase itto 1 be ore rolling.

Apply modiers in the order they occur, rom the earliestto the latest. E.g. in turn 2, a model’s S R was permanentlyreduced rom 4 to 2. During a subsequent turn, a blessingmultiplies his S R by 3. As a result, his current S R score equals((S R4 – 2) x 3) = S R 6.

Whenever a number o effects simultaneously modi y amodel’s attribute, apply the order o operations identical tothe one used in mathematics, i.e. multiplication/division is

done rst and addition/subtraction is done second.

Effects that set the attribute to a xed value areapplied last.

Additionally, effects pertaining to thecurrent value (the currentmodied value), and thebase value (unmodied printed value)are separate effects and may be treated differently. Unless notedotherwise, always apply thecurrent value.

All attribute modiers, both positive and negative, arecumulative only i originating rom disparate sources. E.g.i a strength-increasing spell o the same name is cast twiceon one model (even i it is cast by two different mystics),the modier is only applied once. I , however, two differentstrength-increasing spells are cast on that model, both

modiers are applied and stack.
