Newsletter 2017 年 9 月 8 日 Week 1 杰明小学学前班每周通讯 Jie Ming Mandarin Immersion Academy Kindergarten Newsletter News in the Classroom Learning of this week Week 2 Reading: Math: Social Studies: * Book: 我好棒！I’m good ! * Number 0-10 (count) *School community Writing: Language Skill: * Story telling * Body parts & class rules We have been focused on practicing the procedures of daily routines, such as arriving and leaving school, checking in and choosing lunch, using the bathroom and water fountain, lining up and walking through the school, as well as morning meeting and afternoon closing. For Chinese language, we have learned how to greet people as well as songs that help teach our daily classroom routines. We also have learned from school counselor about safety and from school nurse about what to do if we get hurt or sick at school. We had gym and music lessons, which all the students enjoyed. In math class, we started to count numbers 0-5 in Chinese. In social studies, we have learned about school community and traffic safety.
