M.Tech Thesis
Title- Development of wear durable Tribological coating Supervisor – Prof. Sujeet Kumar SinhaDescription-Polymer composite was prepared for coating on ball bearing. Epoxy, UHMWPE, MoS2 and hardener were used. Polymer coating thickness is optimized with different contents (wt %) of Mos2. Basic material characterization tools Tribometer, UTM, Rheometer, Hardness tester, scratch test, SEM, EDS, TEM etc. have been used to analyse these Polymer composite. Spin Coating and spray Coating technique have been used for preparing polymer composite thin films on steel disc. Friction co-efficient and wear life of polymer coating was calculated by using lab fabricated Tribometer.
M.Tech Minor Project
Title- Determination of Prony Series Coefficient of Polymer using Optimization techniqueDescription - Designed Optimization algorithm to determine Prony series coefficient for phenomenological model of polymer and created MATLAB code to implement it, achieving 90% conformance with practical data in team of 2.
Title- Comparative Analysis of Metallic and Composite shell for underwater vessels using FEA
Description - Computed thickness required for underwater vessel to avoid buckling due to hydrostatic pressure for metallic and composite shells with help of ANSYS, obtaining 55% reduction in weight by adopting composite shell in team of 2.
