What is Ecotourism?
Ecotourism is a form of tourism involving visi1ng fragile, pris1ne, and rela1vely undisturbed natural areas, intended as a low-‐impact and o:en small scale alterna1ve to standard commercial (mass) tourism.
Its purpose is to educate the traveler, to provide funds for ecological conserva1on, to directly benefit the economic development and poli1cal empowerment of local communi1es, or to foster respect for different cultures and for human rights
