Take Inspired Action 6. Create a Goal Blueprint

1. Where Are You Going?

a. Maintaining a positive vibration

If you read the first course we talked about training you in how to create and maintain a positive vibration. We took so much time to train you on how to do this because you absolutely MUST be in your happy place before you even think about setting an intention or creating goals. Quick recap – gratitude diary, success rituals, exercise, be-do-have paradigm = you need to be in a happy place BEFORE you set an intention or goal. Please see my first guide on ‘How to Create and keep a Positive Mindset’ if you are struggling with this.

b. So why do we need to even set intentions and goals?

If you started a journey with no directions and only a vague idea of where you wanted to go you’d probably wander around aimlessly… Think about the time wasted, the frustration… Imagine how much LONGER it would take you to reach your destination if your weren’t even sure where you were going… Yet this is how many of us live our lives… And it’s just not worth it! Does this resonate with you? It’s just the same for example if you have a meeting on the other side of town, at a location you’d never been to before and you get into your car without any directions on how to get there… What are the chances that you’d arrive at your destination on time, if at all? Pretty much zero, right?

Page 4: My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to ...€¦ · My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to enjoy your life, ... ~ Renew the sparkle and magic in your

c. So what’s the solution then? Before you do anything else, identify the things about your life that you already know you want to change. Yet even if you know what you want to do, getting there without any directions is needlessly hard. Without a plan, you’ll most likely spend so much precious time wandering through life… not feeling happy or fulfilled… and really truly wanting something different…. but not knowing how to make that happen. Don’t worry, today we’ll get clear on what you really want, and then comes the exciting part. Then we’ll develop your whole strategy, together.

d. How do we choose an area of our life? Get an A4 piece of paper and write down 5 columns ~ health (weight), relationships (partner, parent, child, friend, relation, boss, colleague), career (either a new one, promotion or start your own business), finance or spirituality. Write underneath each column what you DON’T like about that area of your life. Which column has the most negatives on it? This is the area we will then concentrate on. We only ever work on one goal at a time but they often spill over onto other areas. Eg: If you choose health and you want to lose 10kg then not only will you feel fitter and healthier but you could become more confident and ‘like’ yourself more so your relationships improve etc.

2. Setting a Clear Intention

a. How will an intention help me?

By setting an intention you will be able to: ~ Begin a new loving and fulfilling relationship ~ Renew the sparkle and magic in your current relationship ~ Achieve a better-paying or more fulfilling job ~ Finally launch that business you’ve been imagining about for years ~ Get fitter, slimmer and enjoy more energy ~ Wake up feeling more energetic and enthusiastic for life b. What is an intention? An intention is the driving force behind the goal, it’s the WHY you want that goal, it needs to really make you feel amazing when you read and feel that intention. It isn’t the HOW that goal will be achieved. The intention will keep you going when you are faced with challenges.

Page 5: My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to ...€¦ · My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to enjoy your life, ... ~ Renew the sparkle and magic in your

Example: if you just say I want $100,000 in the bank to make me feel secure it won’t work. You need to ask yourself WHY you want that money etc. What will it do for you, how will it change your life. Perhaps you want to travel, buy a home by the ocean, enjoy nice clothes, have luxury holidays with the family, purchase a sports car etc. This is the driving force behind the goal. It’s this that keeps you moving forward even in the toughest of times. c. We set intentions before we even think about goals An intention is an energetic statement that describes what success looks, feels and acts like in the area of your life you want to impact. It’s really the big underlying WHY behind the goals you set. So once the intention is set we build goals ~ concrete milestones. d. How do I set an intention?

~ Happy Place ~ As always we need to make sure that we get into our ‘Happy Place’, because as we learned in the last book, we must start from this place before setting an intention or creating any goals. So…. How do you feel right now? Now if you’re not feeling totally positive, that’s ok! To make doubly sure that you’re in your ‘Happy Place,’ let’s quickly do a Gratitude Exercise. Fabulous gratitude exercise ~ ~ Find a peaceful quiet place alone, take a few deep breaths and try to be still, as best you can. You can close your eyes if you like. ~ Think of at least one thing that you’re grateful for today, right now, in your life. Maybe it’s your cup of tea, your comfy chair, your eyes to see with, a pet, your pen on your desk………… NOW how do you feel? Are you in your ‘Happy Place?’ Isn’t it amazing how something as simple as a little gratitude can create such a quick shift in your energy? The more you do this the easier it becomes and the more you find you have to be grateful for! Well done! – now if you’re still not feeling totally “there” I recommend continuing to find more things to be grateful for. Ok, once you’re in your ‘Happy Place’…let’s move on! ~ Choose the area for your intention ~ No matter what you choose, you absolutely WILL experience unexpected results in other areas of your life too! Some choices are: Relationships – finding your soul mate or putting the sparkle and magic back into your current relationship.

Career & Finances – perhaps you’d like to feel completely fulfilled and valued in your job, or experience a breakthrough in taking your income to the next level. Maybe you want to start that passion-based business you’ve always dreamed of. Health – which includes feeling fit, healthy, energetic and vibrant or perhaps it is weight loss. Friends and Family – perhaps you’d like to create closer connections with family and friends, meet new people or give back to your community. Spirituality – perhaps you want to create a stronger, more meaningful connection with Source energy, the Universe, God or whomever you wish to choose. The choice is yours!! Which area has the most negatives at the moment, the area you’d really like to see the most change? Remember the results will spill over into the other areas as well. e. Use definitive language ~ Present Tense ~ Your intention statement should be in the present tense so for example, instead of “I will have a loving relationship” you would say something like this ~ “I have a fulfilling and loving relationship with my soul mate”. ~ Remember it is not your job to determine HOW this will happen, so do not include specifics on HOW you will make this intention happen. ~ Think about your WHY and not the HOW it will happen. This is very important because the HOW can change. So think about your WHY and write this in one or two sentences. An Example Intention Statement: I have an amazing, loving relationship sharing my life with my soul mate enjoying travelling, nature, keeping fit and living in a gorgeous home by the ocean. My needs are fulfilled and I feel totally at peace giving back to my community. ~ What Happens When You Have a Clear Intention? ~ The Universe provides all the people, events, and opportunities you need, you start attracting to you what you need to achieve your goal. These are things you wouldn’t have seen or heard before, opportunities open up. Here are some examples: ~ You happen to be in the right place to overhear a conversation with a solution to a problem or challenge that’s been standing in your way ~ Money shows up from somewhere unexpected or perhaps you’d forgotten about it ~ You manage to start a conversation with a stranger, only to find out they’re the recruiter for the amazing company you’ve always wanted to work for ~ A friend approaches you with an awesome idea for an online business that you can run from anywhere, so that you can travel and work on your own terms ~ Many, many more ideas and ways will come to you, just stay aligned on that high vibration and you’ll see what the universe delivers!

When we try set goals without a clear intention, we often lack direction and can end up with goals that are all over the place. Without a clear intention, when faced with challenges, we’re also much more likely to… ~ Get disheartened ~ Lose our energy to move forwards ~ Or even just give it all up! So now I encourage you to take a moment to sit with what you’ve written on your intention. Do whatever it is to make you feel totally happy with your intention ~ make notes, rub things out, add new things… make whatever amendments you need to make until you feel 100% happy with your final intention.

3. Creating Awesome Goals

~ So what’s the real difference between an intention and a goal? ~ A goal is a concrete milestone that marks your progress as you move towards alignment with your intention. Your intention is the unseen energy and power behind your goals that keeps you focused on WHY you’ve set these goals in the first place. An intention might be: I live an amazingly wonderful life full of vitality and energy. I feel incredibly fit and slim with great enthusiasm for living life to the fullest. For the above intention, you could have many different goals, such as: Lose a certain amount of weight ~ ie: 10kg Run 10km in under an hour (that was my goal a while ago!) Buy that green size 12 dress A goal allows you to measure your progress so by having several short-term goals we stay on course to achieve our true purpose and intention in life. ~ How Do I set a Goal ~ So think about your area and the intention you have chosen and pick a huge goal, this needs to be audacious so it blows your mind away. There are two reasons for this, if you set too small a goal as you near your target you take your foot off the pedal and slow down. For example: You choose to earn $100,000 ~ this is your target by next December, if by October you reach $85,000 you will subconsciously take your foot off the pedal and yes you would reach your $100,000 goal. If you had goal of $150,000 you might get to $130,000 as you kept the momentum going having reached the $85,000 by October.

Page 8: My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to ...€¦ · My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to enjoy your life, ... ~ Renew the sparkle and magic in your

Also if you don’t make it to the moon just yet at least you’ll have reached the stars. Don’t forget you have your mindset, which will take you wherever you want to be and no one can take that away! ~ Your goal must be exact and significant For example: if your intention is to have all of the money you need to live life to the fullest, your #1 GOAL might be: ~ I earn $20,000 per month ~ I have an awesome fulfilling job ~ My future retirement fund is secure ~ I save $10,000 a month easily ~ You must choose a time frame to achieve this goal and be 100% committed to achieving this goal. ~ I really encourage you to set an enormous goal that inspires you! ~ Your job isn’t to know HOW that goal will happen, your job is to believe that it will happen. For now start trusting that people, resources and opportunities you need WILL manifest themselves into your life. So now you should have:

1. Chosen the area of your life to work on 2. Written out your Intention Statement 3. Have a goal for that chosen area

4. Create Powerful Affirmations

Now we’ve written our intention and goal the next step is affirmations. These are short sentences always positive and written in the present tense. We don’t use language that we don’t want in our lives. For example: debt free……….. we would say financially free, or lose weight………fit and slim. These sentences need to be very powerful with words that make you feel alive! These present tense, positive affirmations around your goals will help you to stay motivated. For example, a health goal: ~ I enjoy feeling fit and full of vitality ~ I love running 5 km every morning ~ I have the energy to play with my children everyday ~ I am slim, toned and feel amazing

5.Choose Specific Actions

Page 9: My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to ...€¦ · My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to enjoy your life, ... ~ Renew the sparkle and magic in your

We now need to choose actions that will bring you towards your goal, we cannot just lie on the couch all day and expect the money to appear or our bodies to get fitter etc. This is very important and the more we do, the more we get motivated to do. You need to choose specific, measurable actions that bring your closer to your goals. Some specific actions based on a health goal could be: ~ I exercise for 30 minutes every morning 5 days a week ~ I plan nutritious meals each night for the next day ~ I walk with my dog and children every afternoon ~ I write down 3 new things that I'm grateful for at the end of each day from feeling fitter Ok, great so now we need to look at the bigger picture to check that you are on track and the whole sequence fits together. You can use this process time and time again to achieve more and more goals, keeping you moving foreword in life and forever growing.

6. Putting It Altogether

1. Set a clear intention, a kind of energetic vision statement for the future you want to create, they WHY behind your goal. It’s the starting point for any successful journey.

2. Create awesome goals, which are specific, concrete, measurable milestones that are aligned with your intention. 3. Create powerful affirmations – positive, present tense affirmations you say daily to reconnect you with your intention and help stay motivated towards achieving your goals. And finally we want to… 4.Take inspired action towards hitting the milestones you’ve laid out in your goals. 5. Write out your goal and intention on a piece of paper very clearly and stick it to the bathroom mirror; this is called your ‘Intention Declaration’. Now for the Mirror Exercise: Before you start make sure you’re in your ‘Happy Place!’ If not, take a moment to do a quick gratitude exercise to get your vibration up and feeling good. Once you’re in your ‘Happy Place’, read your entire ‘Intention Declaration’ to yourself in a mirror. Don’t be shy! Be proud, read it aloud and at a good volume! Now because you’re coming from that ‘Happy Place’ you’ll be sending out the right kind of energy to the Universe so guess what!! The Universe reflects it back to you. Everyday stick the piece of paper onto your mirror (probably the bathroom mirror for privacy) and say aloud the goal and intention looking into your eyes. See what comes up for you, it may be disbelief, you may feel you don’t deserve it, you may feel overwhelm or just nothing. This is very important here as this is your subconscious talking………….. and as your

Page 10: My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to ...€¦ · My mission is to give you the confidence and clarity to enjoy your life, ... ~ Renew the sparkle and magic in your

subconscious drives the show we need to see what’s going on in there and this is one of the first steps. For example: ‘How could you possibly be a size 12, you’ve been a size 24 all your life!’ That’s your subconscious mind, make a note of this, we will deal with this later on, removing limiting beliefs permanently. For now it is important you do this exercise regulary. By verbalising this we also put it out there attracting it back to us and confirming with ourselves that this is what we actually want. This gets easier over time. I wish you all huge success ~ Best of Luck and Keep Going ~ Louise
