I believe that HEAVY METAL ROCK in its time has been very mainstream with bands such as LED ZEPPELIN, BLACK SABBATH and DEEP PURPLE etc. But now HEAVEY METAL has more of a niche audience with bands like SLIPKNOT due to the many different styles and categories of rock that there are to choose from now days.

Target Age: 18 – 50 (As the magazine will cater for both up and coming/current heavy metal rock bands and also old school bands)

Gender: Mostly Male – 75% (As the bands in the magazines main audiences will be mostly male therefore attracting more males to buy the magazine)

IDEAL READER• Craig is 28 and he lives for heavy metal rock music; from

the golden oldies to the current and also up and coming heavy metal bands. Heavy metal rock totally influences Craig’s life, from the clothes he wears, the friends he hangs with to the lifestyle he leads. His life literally revolves around heavy metal rock ‘n’ roll. He thrives off of heavy metal rock concerts and events. He is a very laid back, relaxed and chilled out guy; though when it comes to his music he is ultimately passionate and upfront with his opinions.

This in many ways supports the Rock genre due to its relation to danger and its nature of being against society etc…

DESIGN IDEAS OF NAME

Here I have tried to stick to the rock genre by using symbolic rock stereotypes like the ‘T’ in the shape of cross which rock often refers too.

Also I have tried to stick to a rough sans serif font style to make it informal and give it an against society feel
