resse particulièrement à la colo-ration, aux effets de lumière des grandes villes et aux gens qu’il observe dans son environnement immédiat.

The urban scene and bustling city-scapes are what bring the canvases of André Schirmer to life. Schirmer is an artist that ex-plores the relationship that exists in human interaction in urban environments, and the moments captured within a specific time and place. Between the flickering of city lights and everyday faces, Schirmer plays with these ele-ments and combines them to the expression of his subjects.

André Schirmer currently works

as a designer, graphic illustrator, and painting artist. He began his artistic career in 1967 after stu-dying at the École des Beaux Arts in montreal. While at the Beaux arts, Schirmer focused on landscape painting, and worked with live models while studying the human body. His style is abstract, he primarily works with acrylic paint, oil pastels.
