‘There is something about spaces that lead you to think about music in a different way, I think, and certainly the light in Kettle’s Yard does allow me to find more light in my playing’Tom Poster, pianist
Please join us for performances within the beautiful setting of the Kettle’s Yard house, amongst great works of 20th century modern art. New for 2015 will be concerts which respond to gallery exhibitions; Beauty and Revolution: The Poetry and Art of Ian Hamilton Finlay, and New Rhythms: Henri Gaudier-Brzeska, Art, Dance and Movement in London 1911–1915.
This year we welcome a new programmer for our New Music series, Kate Whitley who is a composer, musician and creator of the extraordinary ‘Multi-Story Orchestra’. Her programme features premieres of new commissions, dance, and DJ sets. Justin Lee, in his second year as programmer of the Chamber series, has created another distinctive series featuring some of the stars of chamber music. Our free lunchtime concert series also continues with performances by talented Cambridge University students.
All concerts begin at 8pm unless otherwise stated. Doors open at 7.30pm.
