INTRODUCTION

The executive programme is jointly offered by HKU SPACE and Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency (HKQAA). It is designed to provide updated knowledge, concepts, and practices of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and the typical issues in applying CSR by the organizations.

ABOUT THE HONG KONG QUALITY ASSURANCE AGENCY (HKQAA)

The Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989, aims to assist industry and commerce to achieve excellence via the adoption of management systems. Throughout the years, HKQAA has firmly established itself as one of the leading third party certification bodies in the region. Recognizing the changing market needs, HKQAA has strived to provide more value-added services to assist organizations to enhance their competitiveness. These include providing professional training classes and seminars on cutting-edge topics; and driving collaborations among the industries to facilitate the growth of companies in Hong Kong and the Greater China.

STRUCTURE

This programme has 45 contact hours of teaching. Students are expected to complete the whole course in 4 months. Medium of instruction is English.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants shall:

(a) hold a bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognized university or equivalent; or (b) hold an Associate Degree/ a Higher Diploma or equivalent, and have at least 2 years of work experience; or (c) hold relevant professional qualifications.

Applicants with other qualifications and substantial senior level work experience will be considered on individual merits.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Complete and return the application form in person to HKU SPACE Enrolment Centre. For venue please refer to our HKU SPACE website at http://hkuspace.hku.hk/learning-centre. The application must be accompanied with:

a) A non-refundable application fee of HK$150 (Cheque should be crossed and made payable to “HKU SPACE”) to be submitted with the application for enrolment. The application fee will be used to cover the cost of processing and is non-refundable.

b) Photostat copies of I.D. Card, relevant certificates/transcripts, and testimonials or other documentary proof of the applicant’s working experience. (Please bring original certificates/official transcripts and testimonials/documentary proof of working experience for certification at HKU SPACE Centres)

ASSESSMENT & AWARD

Assessment is based on coursework (assignments, project etc.) (40%) and an examination (60%).

Students will be awarded an Executive Certificate in Corporate Social Responsibility provided that they have successfully satisfied the assessment requirements and 75% attendance requirements.

The Executive Certificate will be jointly awarded within HKU system through HKU SPACE and HKQAA.

FEES

Course fee: HK $8,500Application fee: HK$150 (non-refundable).
