Current status of Mongolian Real-time GNSS network
Before 2009:
Coordinate system – WGS84, Local, Pulkova-42
Height system – Baltic sea, Local
Projection – UTM, TM, Gauss-Kriuger /Conic/
problem is how to combine maps into 1 coordinate system?
2009.01.25 government’s order №25 /about to use unified system/.
Coordinate system – WGS84
Height system – Baltic sea
Projection - UTM
Current status of Mongolian Real-time GNSS network
Policy is to make possiblity:
- To enhance mongolian geodetic network using GNSS
- To surveying based on WGS coordinate system
- To establish Real time GNSS network
- To use online Post-processing service
2009
GNSS CORS stations have been established since 2010 in Mongolia.
Trimble Net R8, NETR9 receivers are used.
- 3 locations /2010/
- 6 locations /2011/
- 8 locations /2012/
- 6 locations /2013/
- 17 locations /2014/

country.
Current status of Mongolian Real-time GNSS network
Each CORS stations are connected to Trimble Dynamic Control. Users
could be connected through the following references:

Each stations save their observation file as RINEX.

Legal framework
• Geodesy and Cartography law, 1997
• “GNSS CORS establishing guideline” by the resolution order
139 of Minister of Construction and urban development, 2011
/This work-book consists of types of user’s and government’s
right, data extension, condition to use of CORSs etc./
CHALLENGES
1. Some CORS installed in area without internet connection /2G or higher/
CHALLENGES
2. Distribution of the CORS are coarse /distances are large/.
Example: when area of interest is more than 50km away from CORS and
1:1000 scale mapping are required then CORS cannot be used.
CHALLENGES
3. However, CORS are established every year it is not enough to coverage
in Mongolian territory /state budget/

ENHANCEMENT IDEA REAL-TIME GNSS NETWORK
• Establish more GNSS CORSs throughout the country /increase number of
stations/
• Use a post processing service to process rinex data measurement around
the established GNSS CORS.
From this Course:
- Should to establish GNSS CORS /supported QZSS/ in east side of MGL
- Need a check RTN kinematik data using RTKLib
THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND
