Background

Data science is a multi-disciplinary field

that uses scientific methods, processes,

algorithms and systems to extract

knowledge and insights from structured

and unstructured data. It employs

techniques and theories drawn from many

fields within the context of mathematics,

statistics, computer science, and

information science. The term "data

science" is now often used interchangeably

with earlier concepts like business

analytics, business intelligence, predictive

modeling, and statistics.

R is rapidly becoming the leading language

in data science and statistics. Today, R is

the tool of choice for data science

professionals in every industry and field.

Inclusion of packages in R has made it more powerful and robust with time.

New Delhi, India's capital and a major

gateway to the country, is a bustling

metropolis, which successfully combines in

its fold the ancient and the modern. It is

well connected by air, rail and bus to the

rest of the country. The temperature in

Delhi, would lie between 20°c (min.) to

35°c (max.) approximately during the

period of the training programme.

Master’s degree in any discipline of

Agricultural/ Allied Sciences.

Working in a position not below the

rank of Scientist/ Assistant Professor

under ICAR Institute/ SAU/ KVK.

Working knowledge in Windows and

Internet.

Exposure to basic tools of data analysis.

The application for participating must

be filled online using CBP Vortal at

https://cbp.icar.gov.in or ICAR site

https://icar.org.in (Capacity Building

has to create account on the CBP site and

then using the login id, enter into system

to apply online for the training program.

After filling the application, take a printout

of the application and get it approved by

the competent authority of the

organization. Upload the scanned copy of

application through the above portal or

send by post.

Travel and other arrangement

The participants will be paid for the

journey, to and fro, shortest route

restricted to AC-II-tier train fare (excluding

Rajdhani and Shatabdi Express) or Bus or

any other means of transport in vogue as

the case may be. Actual TA will be paid on

production of original tickets by the

participants. Participants are advised not to

bring family members with them.

Participants should make their own

transport arrangements to reach the ICAR-

IASRI Panse guest house.
