JohdantoSaunalahti Prepaid Mobiililaajakaista on helposti käyttöön otettava ja Elisan Mobiiliverkossa Suomessa toimiva mobiililaajakaistaliittymä. Palveluun sisäl-tyy yhden kuukauden ajan rajattomasti veloituksetonta tiedonsiirtoa (wap- ja internet) Suomessa ensimmäisestä käyttökerrasta alkaen (ei Ahvenanmaalla). Mahdolliset sisältöpalvelumaksut veloitetaan liittymäsaldosta erikseen. Lisäksi liittymällä on alkusaldoa valmiina 6 € ja voit käyttää sitä esimerkiksi tekstiviestien (0,066 €/kpl) lähettämiseen.

Kun ensimmäinen (veloitukseton) käyttökuukausi on lähestymässä loppuaan, liittymään kannattaa lisää saldoa esim. osoitteessa www.saunalahti.fi , Otto. – pankkiautomaatilla tai R-kioskilla voidaksesi käyttää liittymää tiedonsiirtoon parhaiten käyttötarpeisiisi sopivalla tavalla. Liittymä on voimassa yhden kuu-kauden käyttöönotosta ja lisäsaldon lataus lisää liittymän voimassaoloaikaa 12 kuukaudella ja mahdollisesti käyttämätön osuus alkusaldosta palautuu käytettä-väksi ensimmäisen latauksen jälkeen. Lisäsaldoa tulee kuitenkin ladata viimeis-tään 12 kk:n kuluessa ensimmäisestä käyttökerrasta, muuten liittymä ei ole enää käytettävissä. Muuta tärkeää liittymään liittyen!Liittymän saldoa ja voimassaoloaikaa voit kysyä veloituksetta lähettämällä tekstiviestin TILI numeroon 18258. Liittymästä ei toimiteta käyttöerittelyä eikä sen numeroa toimiteta numeropalveluun. Numeron siirto toiselle operaattorille ei ole mahdollista.

Tiedonsiirron satunnainen käyttö Jos käytät tiedonsiirtoa satunnaisesti, maksaa käyttö 0,861 €/Mt ja enintään 1,90 €/vrk maks. 21 Mbit/s. nimellisnopeudella. Tähän hintaan voit siis käyttää tiedonsiirtoa rajattomasti yhden vuorokauden aikana. Maksimiveloitusraja on automaattisesti käytössäsi ilman erillistä tilausta.

Tiedonsiirron säännöllinen käyttöJos käytät tiedonsiirtoa säännöllisesti päivittäin tai useamman kerran viikossa, kannattaa sinun valita viikko- tai kuukausipaketti käyttöösi. Voit tilata viikko- tai kuukausipaketin kätevästi tekstiviestillä:

Viikkopaketti (maks. nimellisnopeus 4 Mbit/s) hintaan 6,90 €/7 vrkTilausohje: lähetä tekstiviesti DATA7 numeroon 15020.

Kuukausipaketti 2 (maks. nimellisnopeus 4 Mbit/s) hintaan 24,80 €/31 vrkTilausohje: lähetä tekstiviesti DATA31 numeroon 15020. Huom! Mobiililaajakaistasovelluksessa näkyy vanhat pakettihinnat.

Palvelun nimellisnopeus on saavutettavissa oleva maksiminopeus. Tiedonsiirto-nopeus vaihtelee riippuen päätelaitteen ominaisuuksista, sijainnista ja verkon kuormituksesta. Nopeuden tyypillinen vaihteluväli on 0,2Mbit/s – palvelun nimel-lisnopeus. Tässä paketissa mukana olevan Nettitikun maksimi nimellisnopeus on 21,6Mbit/s. Tiedonsiirtoyhteyttä on kielletty käyttää vertaisverkkoliikenteeseen (ns. peer to peer) tai vastaavaan tiedostojen jakamiseen.

Huom! Voit tilata uuden viikko- tai kuukausipaketin vaikka edellinen kausi olisi vielä kesken, uusi kausi jatkuu automaattisesti edellisen päätyttyä. Uuden pa-ketin veloitus tehdään heti tilauksen yhteydessä. Tilaustesi tiedot voit tarkistaa lähettämällä tekstiviestin STATUS numeroon 15020. Saat tekstiviestin 6 tuntia ennen viikko- tai kuukausipaketin päättymistä.

Asennuksen valmisteluIrrota SIM-korttipaikan kansi Nettitikusta kuvan mukaisesti ->> Irrota SIM-kortti kehyksestä ja aseta SIM-kortti ja mahdollinen MicroSD muistikortti sille varattuun korttipaikkaan ->> aseta korttipaikan kansi takaisin Nettitikkuun. MicroSD-muistikortti ei kuulu pakkaukseen.

Huom! Älä poista MicroSD-korttia, kun laite on käytössä. Kortin poistaminen käytön aikana voi vahingoittaa MicroSD-korttia ja laitetta, ja kortille tallenne-tut tiedot voivat vioittua. Muista säilyttää SIM-kortin kehys (sis. turvakoodit ja liittymänumero) turvallisessa paikassa. Tarvitset liittymänumeroa aina kun lataat saldoa!


2. Lue käyttöoikeussopimus, hyväksy se ja paina Seuraava.

Mobiililaajakaistasovelluksen asentaminen ja käyttäminenHuom! Käynnistä tietokone, ennen kuin liität nettitikun tietokoneeseen. Muussa tapauksessa sovellus ei asennu normaalisti. Asennusta varten käyttäjällä tulee olla hallintaoikeudet (admin) tietokoneeseen.

Kun tietokone on käynnistynyt liitä Nettitikku tietokoneen USB-liitäntään ja odota hetki.


4. Asennusohjelma asentaa Mobiililaajakais-tasovelluksen. Asennus voi kestää useita minuutteja. Älä käytä muita ohjelmia asen-nuksen aikana. Älä myöskään koske hiireen/näppäimistöön tai sammuta tietokonetta.

3. Valitse asennustyypiksi Tavallinen ja jatka valitsemalla Seuraava.

5. Asennus on valmis. Paina Valmis niin Mobiililaajakaistasovellus käynnistyy.

6. Asennuksen jälkeen Mobiililaajakaistasovellus käynnistyy ja pyytää PIN-koodia. Syötä PIN-koodi ja paina OK. Saunalahti Prepaid -liittymissä oletus PIN-koodi on 1234.

Huom! Ennen internet-yhteyden avaamista varmista, että käytössäsi on ajan tasalla oleva virustorjunta- ja palomuuriohjelmisto.

7. Avaa yhteys painamalla oranssia Yhdistä-paini-ketta. Jos Mobiililaajakaista sovellus ei käynnis-tynyt asennuksen jälkeen automaattisesti, niin käynnistä Mobiililaajakaistasovellus työpöydän kuvakkeesta tai Käynnistä-valikosta.

8. WLAN-painike. Voit siirtyä käyttämään WLAN-verkkoa tämän painikkeen avulla, mikäli sinulle on saatavilla WLAN-yhteys esim. kotisi kiinteän laajakais-taliittymän kautta.

9. Yhdistäessä palomuuri saattaa kysyä lupaa uudelle yhteysyritykselle (Mobii-lilaajakaista-yhteys on sallittava). Mikäli estät yhteyden, ei Mobiililaajakaista-yhteys toimi. Pura tämä esto sallimalla Mobiililaajakaistayhteys palomuurisi ohjeiden mukaisesti.

10. Palomuuri saattaa myös pyytää lupaa puhelinverkkoyhteyden käyttämiselle ensimmäisellä yhteyskerralla (puhelinverkkoyhteys on sallittava). Mikäli estät puhelinverkkoyhteyden, ei Mobiliilaajakaistayhteys toimi. Pura tämä esto salli-malla puhelinverkkoyhteys palomuurisi ohjeiden mukaisesti.

11. Mobiililaajakaistayhteys on muodostunut ja nyt voit käyttää internettiä. Yhteys katkais-taan käytön jälkeen vihreästä painikkeesta.

Huom! Mobiililaajakaistasovelluksella voit myös lähettää ja vastaanottaa tekstiviestejä. Paina Mobiililaajakaistasovelluksen Yhteys-välilehdellä näkyvää Kirjekuoren kuvaa päästäksesi teksti-viestien lähetys ja vastaanottosovellukseen.

12. Jatkossa voit avata sovelluksen painamalla tietokoneen työpöydällä näkyvää Mobiililaajakaistasovelluksen pikakuvaketta.

Käyttöön liittyviä vinkkejä:Käyttö-välilehdellä voit tarkastella tiedonsiirtomääriä ja ajankohtia. Linkit-välilehdellä on hyödyllisiä linkkejä esim. kuuluvuuskarttaan, tukisivuille ja Elisan elämyksellisiin palveluihin. Prepaid-välilehdellä (huom! jos tätä välilehteä ei näy ensimmäisellä käyttökerralla, käynnistä Mobiililaajakaista uudestaan) voit esimer-kiksi tehdä helposti liittymäsaldokyselyn ja tilata tiedonsiirtopaketteja. Mobiililaa-jakaistasovelluksen alareunassa olevaa Kirjekuoren kuvaa klikkaamalla pääset tekstiviestien lähetys ja vastaanotto –työkaluun.

Käyttö ulkomailla (Roaming)Liikkuessasi Suomessa, nettitikkusi kytkeytyy aina operaattorisi omaan verkkoon (kotiverkko). Ulkomailla nettitikkusi etsii automaattisesti sellaisen operaattorin verkon, jonka kanssa operaattorillasi on yhteiskäyttösopimus. Tiedonsiirto ulko-maisen operaattorin verkossa veloitetaan aina ulkomaisen operaattorin verkon hinnastojen mukaisesti. Hinnat ovat yleensä huomattavasti oman operaattorisi tiedonsiirtomaksuja suurempia eikä tiedonsiirto roamingverkossa kuulu operaat-torisi tarjoamien kiinteähintaisten mobiililaajakaistapakettien piiriin.

Huom! Raja-alueilla nettitikkusi saattaa hakeutua ulkomaisen operaattorin verkkoon vaikka liikkuisitkin Suomen puolella. Estääksesi nettitikun kirjautumisen roamingverkkoon sinun tulee valita oma kotiverkkosi manuaalisesti (katso kohta Manuaalinen verkon valinta). Vaihtoehtoisesti voit pyytää operaattoriltasi da-taroaming eston liittymällesi, joka estää kaiken dataliikenteen roamingverkoissa liittymältäsi.

Manuaalinen verkon valintaVoit muuttaa verkon valinnan manuaaliseksi. Verkon valinta löytyy Verkot valikon alta. Valitse kohta Manuaalinen ja paina Valitse operaattori. Ohjelmisto etsii käytettävissä olevat vaihtoehdot, Suomessa Saunalahti ja Elisa. Valitse oma operaattorisi ja paina Vaihda operaattoria.

Huom! Verkonvalinta voi muuttua takaisin automaattiseksi esim. kun tietokone käynnistetään uudelleen tai modeemin USB-paikka vaihtuu.

VerkkotilaVoit muuttaa verkkotilan asetuksia. Verkkotila löytyy Verkot valikon alta. Mikäli olet verkon reuna-alueella, voit halutessasi valita ensisijaisen käytettävän verkon tilalle vain 3G.

Ratkaisuvinkkejä eri ongelmatilanteisiin:1. Irrota Nettitikku, poista SIM-kortti ja käynnistä tietokone uudelleen.2. Käytä SIM-kortti matkapuhelimessa ja testaa liittymän toiminta sillä.3. Laita SIM-kortti Nettitikkuun ja kytke se uudelleen tietokoneen käynnistyttyä

ja testaa yhteyden toiminta.4. Jos yhteys ei toimi, poista Mobiililaajakaistasovellus (Mobiililaajakaista) tieto-

koneelta ja asenna se uudelleen. Testaa yhteyden toiminta.

Mobiililaajakaistasovelluksen poistaminen1. Valitse Käynnistä-valikko.2. Valitse Ohjauspaneeli.3. Valitse Lisää tai poista sovellus ja poista (Mobiililaajakaista) hallinta ohjelma.

Huom! Ennen Mobiililaajakaistasovelluksen poistamista se on suljettava.

TurvallisuustiedotLukemalla turvallisuustiedot huolellisesti varmistat, että langatonta laitetta käytetään oikein ja turvallisesti.

HäiriötÄlä käytä langatonta laitetta, jos sen käyttö on kielletty tai jos käyttö voi aiheut-taa vaaratilanteita tai häiritä sähkölaitteiden toimintaa.

Lääketieteelliset laitteet• Vältä langattoman laitteen käyttöä lääketieteellisten laitteiden läheisyydessä ja

noudata sairaaloiden ja terveydenhoitolaitosten sääntöjä ja määräyksiä.• Jotkin langattomat laitteet voivat haitata kuulolaitteiden toimintaa. Jos tällaisia

ongelmia ilmenee, ota yhteys palveluntarjoajaasi.• Jos käytät elektronista lääketieteellistä laitetta, ota yhteys lääkäriisi tai laitteen

valmistajaan ja varmista, vaikuttavatko radioaallot laitteen toimintaan.

Tulenarkoja aineita ja räjähteitä sisältävät alueetRäjähdys- ja palovaaran välttämiseksi vältä langattoman laitteen käyttöä alueilla, joilla säilytetään tulenarkoja aineita ja räjähteitä, ja noudata sääntöjä. Seuraa-vassa on lueteltu esimerkkejä alueista, joilla säilytetään tulenarkoja aineita tai räjähteitä:

• huoltoasema• polttoainevarasto (esimerkiksi laivan kannen alla oleva säiliö)• polttoaineiden tai kemikaalien kuljetussäiliö tai -ajoneuvo• alue, jossa ilma sisältää kemikaaleja ja hiukkasia (esimerkiksi jyväsiä, pölyä tai

metallijauhoa)• räjähdysainevaroitusmerkillä merkitty alue• alue, jolla olevassa varoitustaulussa kehotetaan sammuttamaan virta

kaksisuuntaisista langattomista laitteista• alue, jolla yleensä kehotetaan sammuttamaan ajoneuvon moottori.

Liikenneturvallisuus• Noudata paikallisia lakeja ja määräyksiä käyttäessäsi langatonta laitetta.

Onnettomuuksien välttämiseksi älä käytä langatonta laitetta ajaessasi. • Radiotaajuussignaalit voivat häiritä moottoriajoneuvojen elektroniikkaa.

Lisätietoja saat ajoneuvon valmistajalta.• Älä aseta langatonta laitetta moottoriajoneuvossa ilmatyynyn päälle tai

ilmatyynyn toiminta-alueelle. Langaton laite voi muuten aiheuttaa vammoja ilmatyynyn täyttyessä suurella voimalla.

• Noudata lentoyhtiöiden sääntöjä ja määräyksiä. Sammuta virta langattomasta laitteesta astuessasi lentokoneeseen. Langattoman laitteen radiosignaali voi muuten häiritä lentokoneen ohjaussignaaleja.

Lasten turvallisuusÄlä anna lasten käyttää langatonta laitetta ilman ohjausta. Langattoman laitteen pienet, terävät osat voivat olla vaaraksi lapsille tai aiheuttaa nieltyinä tukehtu-misvaaran.

YmpäristönsuojeluNoudata pakkaustarvikkeiden sekä käytetyn langattoman laitteen ja sen tarvik-keiden käsittelyssä paikallisia määräyksiä. Suosi kierrätystä.

WEEE -hyväksyntäTämä langaton laite on sähkö- ja elektroniikkalaiteromudirektiivin 2002/96/EY (WEEE-direktiivin) oleellisten vaatimusten ja muiden asiaankuuluvien ehtojen mukainen.

RoHS -hyväksyntäTämä langaton laite on tiettyjen haitallisten aineiden käytön rajoittamista sähkö- ja elektroniikkalaitteissa koskevan direktiivin 2002/95/EY (RoHS-direktiivin) mukainen.

Lakien ja säännösten noudattaminenNoudata lakeja ja säännöksiä käyttäessäsi langatonta laitetta. Kunnioita toisten yksityisyyttä ja lakisääteisiä oikeuksia.

Huolto ja kunnossapitoLangattoman laitteen kuumeneminen sitä käytettäessä tai ladattaessa on nor-maalia. Ennen langattoman laitteen puhdistamista tai huoltoa kaikki sovellukset on suljettava ja langaton laite on irrotettava tietokoneesta.• Käytä langatonta laitetta ja sen lisävarusteita huolellisesti ja puhtaassa ympä-

ristössä. Älä pidä langatonta laitetta tulen tai sytytetyn savukkeen lähellä.• Suojaa langaton laite ja sen lisävarusteet vedeltä ja höyryltä sekä pidä ne

kuivina.• Älä pudota, heitä tai taivuta langatonta laitetta.• Puhdista langaton laite kostutetulla pehmeällä antistaattisella liinalla. Älä käytä

puhdistamiseen liuottimia (esimerkiksi alkoholia tai bentseeniä), kemiallisia pesuaineita tai jauheita.

• Älä jätä langatonta laitetta tai sen lisävarusteita huomattavan kylmään tai kuumaan paikkaan.

• Käytä langattomassa laitteessa vain valmistajan hyväksymiä lisävarusteita.

HätäpuheluTämän langattoman laitteen toiminta perustuu radiosignaalien vastaanottami-seen ja lähettämiseen. Tästä syystä yhteyttä ei voida taata kaikissa olosuhteissa. Hätätilanteessa elintärkeää tietoliikennettä ei tulisi jättää pelkästään langatto-man laitteen varaan.

Ominaisabsorptionopeus (SAR)Tämä langaton laite on radiolähetin ja -vastaanotin. Laite on suunniteltu siten, että se ei ylitä kansainvälisissä suosituksissa annettuja radioaalloille altistumista koskevia rajoja. Riippumaton tieteellinen organisaatio ICNIRP on laatinut nämä rajoitukset, ja niihin sisältyvien turvamarginaalien tarkoituksena on varmistaa kaikkien ihmisten turvallisuus iästä ja terveydentilasta riippumatta.

Suosituksissa käytetään mittayksikköä, joka tunnetaan nimellä ominais-absorptionopeus (SAR). Langattomille laitteille annettu SAR-raja on 2,0 W/kg, ja tälle laitteelle testeissä mitattu suurin SAR-arvo on tämän rajan mukainen.

Käyttö kehollaSeuraavassa on tärkeitä radiotaajuusaltistumista koskevia turvallisuustietoja. Laitetta ei saa käyttää lähempänä kuin 1,5 senttimetrin etäisyydellä kehosta. Näin varmistutaan siitä, ettei radiotaajuusaltistumista koskevia ohjearvoja ylite-tä. Jos nämä ohjeet laiminlyödään, radiotaajuusaltistuminen voi ylittää käyttö-tilannetta koskevat ohjearvot.

Tietoja säännöksistäSeuraavat hyväksynnät ja ilmoitukset ovat voimassa aluekohtaisesti siten kuin tässä on ilmoitettu.

CE Hyväksyntä (Euroopan unioni)Tämä langaton laite on hyväksytty käytettäväksi EU:n jäsenmaissa. Tämä lan-gaton laite on radio- ja telepäätelaitedirektiivin 1999/5/EY (R&TTE-direktiivin) oleellisten vaatimusten ja muiden asiaankuuluvien ehtojen mukainen.

Liittovaltion tietoliikennekomission ilmoitus (Yhdysvallat): Ennen kuin langaton laite tulee myyntiin yleisölle, se on testattava ja FCC:lle on vakuutettava, että sen säteilyn ominaisabsorptionopeus ei ylitä hallituksen käyttöönottamissa turvallis-ta altistumista koskevissa vaatimuksissa määritettyä rajaa.

Yhdysvalloissa ja Kanadassa käytössä oleva SAR-raja on 1,6 W/kg jakautuneena yhdelle kudosgrammalle. Suurin FCC:lle ilmoitettu tämän laitetyypin SAR-arvo on tämän rajan mukainen.

FCC:n huomautusTämä laite on FCC:n sääntöjen osan 15 mukainen. Käyttö on kahden seuraavan säännön alaista: (1) tämä laite ei saa aiheuttaa haitallista häiriötä ja (2) tämän laitteen on hyväksyttävä vastaanotettu häiriö, mukaan lukien häiriö, joka voi aiheuttaa ei-toivottua toimintaa.

* Kun tämä laite asennetaan ja sitä käytetään, säteilijän on oltava vähintään 20 senttimetrin etäisyydellä kehosta.

TAKUUEHDOT1. Laitevalmistaja myöntää laitteelle takuun kahdeksi (2) vuodeksi siitä, kun

aiheutuvat viat. d. Laitteelle millä tahansa tavalla aiheutetusta viasta joka johtuu väärinkäy-

töstä, laiminlyönnistä tai vahingosta. e. Viat ja vahingot, jotka aiheutuvat virheellisestä testaamisesta, käytöstä,

huollosta, asennuksesta tai mistä tahansa muokkauksesta tai muuttami-sesta.

f. Viat ja vahingot, jotka aiheutuvat ruoan tai nesteiden läikkymisestä, korroo-siosta, ruostumisesta tai väärän jännitteen käyttämisestä.

g. Muovipintojen ja muiden laitteen ulkopinnalla olevien osien naarmut ja vahingot, jotka aiheutuvat tavallisesta käytöstä.

4. Jos takuukautena normaalin käytön aikana tuotteessa esiintyy vika, tuote on palautettava jälleenmyyjälle, jolta se on alkujaan hankittu. Laitevalmistajan ja sen valtuutetun huoltokumppanin takuun mukainen vastuu rajoittuu toimi-tus- ja korjauskustannuksiin ja/tai yksikön vaihtamiseen.

5. Tämä takuu raukeaa seuraavissa tilanteissa: a. Laitteen tyyppikilpi tai takuusinetti on sotkettu tai poistettu. b. Jotain tämän takuun ehtoa on muutettu tai muokattu millä tahansa tavalla

ilman laitevalmistajan etukäteen myöntämää kirjallista lupaa.

6. Rajoitettu takuu koskee vain asiakkaita, jotka ostavat tuotteen laitevalmistajan määrittämässä myyntimaassa (tai -alueella). Rajoitettu takuu on voimassa vain laitevalmistajan määrittämässä tuotteen myyntimaassa (tai -alueella).

7. Jos tuote palautetaan laitevalmistajalle takuuajan päättymisen jälkeen, taval-liset laitevalmistajan huoltokäytännöt ovat voimassa ja asiakasta laskutetaan niiden mukaisesti.

a. Laitevalmistaja ei myöskään ota tuotteesta mitään muuta vastuuta kuin tässä rajoitetussa takuussa nimenomaisesti mainitut vastuut.

b. Kaikkia takuutietoja, tuotteen ominaisuuksia ja teknisiä tietoja voidaan muuttaa ilman erillistä ilmoitusta.

8. Tämä takuu korvaa kaikki muut suorat ja epäsuorat takuut. Mukaan lukien erityi-sesti kaikki epäsuorat takuut, jotka koskevat myyntikelpoisuutta tai soveltuvuut-ta tiettyyn tarkoitukseen. Laitevalmistaja ei vastaa takuurikkomuksista muulla tavalla kuin korjaamalla rikkomuksen edellä kuvatulla tavalla. Laitevalmistaja ei missään tapauksessa vastaa välillisistä menetyksistä tai vahingoista, mukaan lukien tuotteesta aiheutuva käyttökatkos tai menetetty tuotto.

Saunalahti Prepaid -palvelun erityisehdot

1 Yleistä1.1 Nämä erityisehdot koskevat Elisa Oyj:n tai sen kanssa samaan konserniin

kuuluvan yhtiön (jäljempänä Elisa) tarjoamaa Saunalahti Prepaid -palvelua (jäljempänä Palvelu). Palvelussa Elisa luovuttaa asiakkaan käyttöön ominai-suuksiltaan rajoitetun Elisan omistaman matkaviestinliittymän käyttöoikeu-den etukäteismaksua vastaan.

1.2 Asiakkaalla tarkoitetaan luonnollista tai juridista henkilöä, joka hankkii Elisan tarjoamia palveluja.

1.3 Muiden Elisan palvelujen käytön osalta sovelletaan yleisiä toimitusehtoja, palvelukohtaisia erityisehtoja ja kampanjaehtoja.

2 Sopimuksen syntyminen2.1 Sopimus syntyy, kun asiakas ottaa Palvelun käyttöön käyttöohjeissa kerrotul-

la tavalla.

2.2 Elisalla on oikeus siirtää sopimukseen perustuvat oikeutensa ja velvollisuu-tensa ilman asiakkaan suostumusta samaan konserniin kuuluvalle yhtiölle tai Elisan matkaviestinpalvelujen tarjoamista mahdollisesti jatkavalle toiselle teleyritykselle.

2.3 Elisalla on oikeus valita Palveluun kuuluva asiakkaan käyttöön tuleva matkapuhelinnumero. Matkapuhelinnumero säilyy Elisan omistuksessa ja asiakkaalla ei ole oikeuksia siihen sopimuksen päätyttyä.

2.4 Liittymäkortti (SIM-kortti) on Elisan omaisuutta.

2.5 Matkapuhelimet ja muut päätelaitteet, joilla matkaviestinverkon palveluita käytetään, eivät kuulu Palveluun. Kyseisten laitteiden on kuitenkin oltava toi-mintakuntoisia ja asianmukaisesti hyväksyttyjä, ennen kuin niitä saa käyttää televerkossa.

3 Palvelun sulkeminen ja sopimuksen päättyminen3.1 Palvelu suljetaan ja sopimus päättyy, kun käyttöohjeiden tai myyntipakkauk-

sen mukainen Palvelun voimassaoloaika päättyy.

3.2 Elisa voi sulkea Palvelun ja purkaa sopimuksen, jos: 3.2.1 Elisan tekstiviestillä tai mahdollisuuksien mukaan muutoin kirjallisesti

tekemästä muistutuksesta huolimatta asiakas käyttää epäkuntoista tai hyväksymätöntä päätelaitetta.

3.2.2 Asiakas on toteen näytetyllä tavalla aiheuttanut häiriöitä joko telever-kolle, palveluille tai toiselle käyttäjälle Palvelua hyväksikäyttäen.

3.2.3 Asiakas jatkaa Elisan tekstiviestillä tai mahdollisuuksien mukaan muu-toin kirjallisesti tekemästä muistutuksesta huolimatta näiden erityiseh-tojen tai muiden sopimusvelvoitteidensa rikkomista tai laiminlyöntiä.

3.2.4 Palvelua käytetään sen tarkoituksen vastaisesti, laittomaan tai hyvän tavan vastaiseen toimintaan tai poliisi tai muu toimivaltainen viran-omainen kirjallisesti pyytää Palvelun sulkemista.

3.3 Elisalla on oikeus sulkea Palvelu ilman erillistä ilmoitusta asiakkaalle vii-meistään silloin, kun viimeisimmästä puheajan lataamisesta on kulunut 12 kuukautta.

3.4 Mikäli sopimus päättyy tai purkautuu tämän kohdan mukaisesti, käyttämättä jäänyttä puheaikaa ei hyvitetä.

4 Asiakkaan oikeudet ja velvollisuudet4.1 Asiakkaalla on oikeus käyttää Palvelua näissä erityisehdoissa mainitulla

tavalla ja muiden sopimusvelvoitteidensa mukaisesti.

4.2 Asiakkaalla on oikeus luovuttaa SIM-kortti kolmannen käyttöön. Asiakas vastaa itse kaikista Palvelun käytöstä aiheutuvista maksuista siinäkin tapa-uksessa, että joku muu kuin asiakas on käyttänyt Palvelua. Elisa ei missään tapauksessa vastaa asiakkaalle aiheutuneesta välillisestä vahingosta, eikä myöskään vahingoista, jotka johtuvat vähäisistä vioista tai puutteista taikka asiakkaan tai Palvelua käyttäneen omista toimenpiteistä aiheutuvista vahingoista. Elisa vapautuu sopimusvelvoitteestaan ja velvollisuudestaan maksaa vahingonkorvausta, jos sopimusehdon noudattamisen estää tai sitä viivästyttää vapauttamisperuste. Vapauttamisperusteeksi katsotaan Elisan sopimusvelvoitteiden täyttämisen kohtuuton vaikeutuminen tai ylivoimai-nen este (force majeure).

4.3 Palvelun avulla voidaan käyttää muitakin kuin Elisan palveluita. Elisa ei vastaa muiden teleyritysten tai palvelujen tuottajien palveluista tai toiminnasta eikä näiden osapuolien aiheuttamista kuluista tai vahingoista. Elisa ei vastaa Palvelun kautta saadun tai välitetyn viestinnän sisällöstä.

4.4 Nämä erityisehdot eivät rajoita yksityisasiakkaalle kuluttaja- tai muun lain-säädännön mukaan kuuluvia oikeuksia.

4.5 Elisa ei vastaa siitä, että asiakkaan päätelaitteen sisältämät kaikki ominaisuu-det ovat käytettävissä Palvelua käytettäessä.

4.6 Asiakkaan on noudatettava sopimusvelvoitteitaan ja erityisehtojen määräyk-siä. Palvelua käytettäessä on myös noudatettava viranomaisten päätelaittei-den käytöstä antamia määräyksiä.

4.7 Elisa ei ole vastuussa asiakkaan päätelaitteen tai sen käytön mahdollisesti aiheuttamista vioista tai häiriöistä eikä niistä aiheutuvista seuraamuksista.

4.8 Asiakkaan itsensä on huolehdittava päätelaitteensa kunnosta. Jos asiakas Elisan tekstiviestillä tai mahdollisuuksien mukaan muutoin kirjallisesti lähettämistä kielloista huolimatta käyttää Elisan matkaviestinverkossa vial-lisia tai häiriöitä aiheuttavia päätelaitteita, hän joutuu korvaamaan vikojen etsimisen, niiden rajoittamisen sekä kolmannelle mahdollisesti aiheutuneen vahingon.4.9 Asiakkaan on säilytettävä SIM-kortti ja PIN- ja PUK-koodeja huolellisesti ja siten, etteivät tunnukset tule ulkopuolisten tietoon.

5 Elisan oikeudet ja velvollisuudet5.1 Elisalla on oikeus muuttaa asiakkaan käytössä oleva matkapuhelinnumero,

kun viranomaisten määräykset tai televerkon rakenteelliset, tekniset tai palvelulliset seikat sitä edellyttävät. Muutoksesta ilmoitetaan tekstiviestillä tai mahdollisuuksien mukaan muutoin kirjallisesti viimeistään 6 kuukautta ennen muutoksen voimaanastumista.

5.2 Elisalla on oikeus antaa asiakkaan käyttämä matkapuhelinnumero kolman-nelle osapuolelle kun sopimus on päättynyt.

5.3 Elisalla on oikeus tuottaa sopimuksen mukainen Palvelu parhaaksi katsomal-laan tavalla. Elisa saa tehdä matkaviestinverkkonsa tekniikkaan ja käyttöön vaikuttavia järjestelyitä. Mikäli nämä muutokset aiheuttavat rakenteellisia tai ohjelmateknisiä muutoksia asiakkaan laitteisiin, asiakkaan on kustannettava muutokset eikä Elisa ole velvollinen niitä korvaamaan.

5.4 Elisalla on oikeus päättää matkaviestinverkon alueellisesta laajuudesta sekä sen tarjoamista ominaisuuksista. Palvelua ei voi käyttää ulkomailla. Elisa ei takaa keskeytyksetöntä toimivuutta Palvelulle.

5.5 Elisalla on oikeus rakentamisen, kehittämisen, kunnossapitotöiden tai muun tarpeellisen syyn vuoksi tilapäisesti keskeyttää palvelun tarjoaminen mahdollisimman lyhyeksi ajaksi ja sellaisena ajankohtana, että se haittaa asiakasta mahdollisimman vähän. Elisa tiedottaa asiakkaalle keskeytyksestä etukäteen tekstiviestillä tai mahdollisuuksien mukaan muutoin kirjallisesti, jos se on tarpeellista ja kohtuullisin toimenpitein mahdollista, ottaen huomi-oon keskeytyksen kesto ja ajankohta.

5.6 Elisalla on oikeus poliisiviranomaisten tekemän kirjallisen pyynnön perus-teella luovuttaa asiakkaan käytössä olevaa Palvelua koskevia tunnistetietoja rikostutkinnallisiin tarkoituksiin.

5.7 Elisalla on oikeus lopettaa Palvelun tai sen ominaisuuden tuottaminen, mikäli Elisa katsoo tämän perustelluksi. Elisalla on tällöin oikeus irtisanoa sopimus lopetettua palvelua tai ominaisuutta koskevin osin ilmoittamalla tästä asi-akkaalle kohtuullisessa ajassa etukäteen tekstiviestillä tai mahdollisuuksien mukaan muutoin kirjallisesti.

5.8 Elisalla on ilman asiakkaan suostumusta oikeus siirtää sopimus kokonaan tai osittain kolmannelle, jolle sopimuksen tarkoittama liiketoiminta siirtyy.

5.9 Elisa pitää matkaviestinverkkonsa ja Palvelun käyttökunnossa näiden erityis-ehtojen mukaisin ehdoin.

6 Maksut6.1 Elisa päättää matkaviestinverkon palvelujen hinnoista.

6.2 Palvelun käyttö vähentää saldoa asiakkaan käyttämien palveluiden voimas-saolevien hinnastojen mukaisesti.

6.3 Elisalla on oikeus muuttaa kohdassa 6.1 mainittuja maksuja. Jos muutos on asiakkaan kannalta lisäkustannuksia aiheuttava, ei hinnanmuutosta sovelleta paitsi jos hinnanmuutos johtuu lain muutoksesta, viranomaisen päätöksestä tai niihin verrattavasta televerkon rakenteellisesta, teknisestä tai palvelullisesta syystä. Maksujen muutoksista ilmoitetaan vähintään kaksi (2) viikkoa ennen muutoksen voimaanastumista. Ilmoittaminen tapahtuu tekstiviestillä asiakkaan käytössä olevaan matkapuhelinnumeroon tai mah-dollisuuksien mukaan muutoin kirjallisesti.

7 Rikostapaukset7.1 Jos asiakas, poliisi, vakuutusyhtiö tai toinen teleyritys on ilmoittanut Elisalle,

että päätelaite on varastettu tai kadonnut, Elisa voi estää päätelaitteen käytön.

8 Riitojen ratkaiseminen8.1 Palvelusta aiheutuvat riidat, mikäli niitä ei saada ratkaistua neuvottelemalla,

ratkaistaan Helsingin käräjäoikeudessa.

8.2 Kuluttaja-asiakas voi kuitenkin nostaa kanteen myös sen paikkakunnan alioikeudessa, jonka tuomiopiirissä hänellä on väestökirjalain mukainen koti-paikka. Kuluttajalla on myös oikeus saattaa asia kuluttajavalituslautakunnan ratkaistavaksi.

9 Erityisehtojen voimassaolo9.1 Nämä erityisehdot ovat voimassa 28.11.2008 alkaen ja ne ovat voimassa

toistaiseksi.

9.2 Elisa voi muuttaa näitä erityisehtoja. Muuttuneita erityisehtoja ei sovelleta ennen muutoksen voimaantuloa tehtyihin sopimuksiin paitsi, jos erityiseh-tojen muutos johtuu lain muutoksesta, viranomaisen päätöksestä tai niihin verrattavasta televerkon rakenteellisesta, teknisestä tai palvelullisesta syystä. Asiakkaalle tiedotetaan muuttuneista erityisehdoista ennen niiden voimaantulemista tekstiviestillä asiakkaan käytössä olevaan matkapuhelin-numeroon tai mahdollisuuksien mukaan muutoin kirjallisesti. Asiakkaalla on mahdollisuus tilata erityisehdot kokonaisuudessaan Elisasta.

IntroductionSaunalahti Prepaid Mobile Broadband is a mobile broadband subscription which is easy to activate and which functions in Elisa’s Mobile Network in Finland. The service includes one free-of-charge month of unlimited data transfer (WAP and Internet) in Finland (not in Åland) , starting from the fi rst session. Any content service fees will be charged separately from the subscription balance. In addition, the subscription has an initial balance of EUR 6 which you may use for sending text messages (EUR 0,066 each), for example.

When the fi rst (free-of-charge) month of use is coming to an end, you should recharge more balance to the subscription online at www.saunalahti.fi . You can also recharge at Otto. ATM or at nearest R-kioski to be able to use the subscription for data transfer in a way that best suits your needs. The subscription will be ac-tive for one month after activation, and recharging additional balance will extend the subscription validity by 12 months, and any unused part of the initial balance will become available after the fi rst recharge. However, you should recharge additional balance no later than 12 months from the fi rst data transfer session, or else the subscription will no longer be available. Other important information concerning the subscription:To change (free-of-charge) the subscription service language from Finnish to English, send the message ENGLISH to the number 18258. To query (free-of-charge) the subscription balance and validity, send the message CREDIT to the number 18258. No usage itemization is provided for the subscription and the subscription number is not included in directory assistance. It is not possible to transfer the subscription number to another operator.

Data transfer for occasional use If you use data transfer occasionally, the use will cost you EUR 0.861/MB and up to EUR 1.90/day at a nominal speed of 21 Mbit/s in maximum. For this price, you may use data transfer without limitations during one day. The maximum charge limit is automatically available to you without a separate order.

Data transfer for more regular useIf you use data transfer regularly on a daily basis, or several times a week, you should go for a weekly or a monthly package. You may conveniently order a weekly or monthly package by text message:

The nominal speed of the service is the maximum speed that can be achieved. The data transfer speed varies based on the terminal device’s features, locati-on and the network load. The typical speed range is 0.2 Mbit/s – the service’s nominal speed. The maximum nominal speed of the USB Modem included in this package is 21,6 Mbit/s. Is not permitted to use the data transfer connection to peer to peer (p2p) usage and similar fi le sharing.

Please note! You may order a new weekly or monthly package even if the previous period is still ongoing, the new period will continue automatically once the previous one has ended. The new package is charged right away in conjunction with the order. To check the status of your orders, send the text message STATUS to this number: 15020. You will receive a text message notifi cation six hours before the expiration of your weekly or monthly package.

Installation preparationsRemove the SIM card slot cover from the USB Modem as shown in the picture ->> Remove the SIM card from the frame and place the SIM cardn and a MicroSD memory card (if any) in its designated card slot ->> reinstall the card slot cover to the USB Modem. A MicroSD memory card is not included.

Please note! Do not remove the MicroSD card during device operation. Removing the card during use may damage the MicroSD card and the device, and any infor-mation stored on the card may become corrupted. Remember to keep the SIM card frame (including the security codes and the subscription number) in a safe place. You will need the subscription number when recharging more balance!

Note! At lataa.saunalahti.fi you can purchase more data transfer packages: quicker and slower packages than above mentioned.


2. Read the end user licence agree-ment, confi rm it and select Next.

Installing and using the mobile broadband applicationPlease note! Start the computer before connecting USB Modem to the computer. Otherwise, the application will not install as it should. For installation, the user must have administrator rights on the computer.

Once the computer has started up, connect USB Modem to the USB interface of the computer and wait a moment.


4. The installation software will install the Mobile Broadband application. The installation may take many minutes. Do not use any other software during installation. Do not touch the mouse or the keyboard. Do not switch off the computer.

3. Select Standard as the installation type and select Next to continue.

5. The installation is complete. Select Ready to launch the Mobile Broadband application.

6. After the installation, the Mobile Broadband application will launch and ask you to enter the PIN code. Enter the PIN code and select OK. For Saunalahti Prepaid subscriptions, the default PIN code is 1234.

Please note! Before activating the Internet connection, you should ensure that the computer has up-to-date antivirus and fi rewall software.

7. Click the orange Connect button to activate the connection. If the Mobile Broadband application did not automatically start after installation, you should launch the application by clicking the desktop icon or by accessing the Start menu.

8. WLAN-button. You can use WLAN-network by clicking this button, if you have such a network available for example at home.

9. Upon establishing the connection, the fi rewall may request permission for a new connection attempt (you should allow the Mobile Broadband connection). If you block the connection, the Mobile Broadband connection will not work. Deactivate the block by allowing the Mobile Broadband connection, according to the instructions for your fi rewall.

10. The fi rewall may also request permission to use the telephone network connection upon the fi rst connection attempt (you must allow the telephone network connection). If you block the telephone network connection, the Mobile Broadband connection will not work. Deactivate the block by allowing the telephone network connection according to the instructions for your fi rewall.

11. The Mobile Broadband connection has been established and you may access the Internet. To switch off the connection, click the green button once you have stopped using the Internet.

Please note: You may also send and receive text messages with the Mobile Broadband applica-tion. Click the Envelope icon on the Connection

tab of the Mobile Broadband application to go to the text message sending and receiving application.

12. From now on, you may launch the application by clicking the Mobile Broadband application icon on the desktop of your computer.

Hints and tips:On the Usage section you can check the data transfer volume history. On the Applications section are useful links to Network Coverage map, Support Pages and also to several Elisa Services. On the Prepaid section (Note! If this section do not appear during the fi rst session, close the Mobile Broadband application and open it again) you can easily make balance enquiries and order data transfer packages. By pressing the Envelope image placed on the bottom bar of the Mobile Broadband application you can access the send/receive SMS tool.

Using USB Modem abroad (Roaming)When you are in Finland, your USB Modem will always connect to the network of your operator (home network). When abroad, your USB Modem will automati-cally search for a network and operator with which your operator has a roaming agreement. Any data transfer in the network of a foreign operator will always be charged according to the price list for the network of the foreign operator. The prices are usually considerably higher than the data transfer fees of your operator, and data transfer on a roaming network is not included in the fi xed-price mobile broadband packages provided by your operator.

Please note! When you are in border areas, your USB Modem may establish a con-nection to the network of a foreign operator even if you are in Finland. To prevent USB Modem from connecting to a roaming network, you should manually select your home network (See section Manual network selection). Alternatively, you may ask your operator to activate a data roaming restriction for your subscription. The restriction will prevent all data traffi c in roaming networks for your subscrip-tion.

Manual network selectionYou may change the network selection to manual. Network selection is under the Networks menu. Select Manual and click Select operator. The software will look up the available options; in Finland they are Saunalahti and Elisa. Select your operator and click Change operator.

Please note! The network selection may change back to automatic when the computer is restarted, or when the modem’s USB slot changes, for example.

Network modeYou may change the network mode settings. Network mode is under the Networks menu. If you are on the edge zone of the network, you may choose 3G only in place of the primary network used.

Possible solutions for diff erent problems:1. Remove USB Modem, remove the SIM card and restart the computer.2. Use the SIM card in a mobile phone to check the subscription for functionality.3. Insert the SIM card in USB Modem, reconnect USB Modem once the computer

has started, and test the connection for functionality.4. If the connection does not work, uninstall the Mobile Broadband application

(Mobile Broadband) and then reinstall it. Test the connection for functionality.

Traffi c safety• Observe local laws and stipulations when using the wireless device.

To avoid accidents, do not use the wireless device when driving. • Radio frequency signals may disrupt the electronics in motor vehicles.

Ask the vehicle manufacturer for more information.• Do not place the wireless device on the airbag or its sphere of operations in

a motor vehicle. Otherwise, the wireless device may result in damage as the airbag contains large amounts of energy.

• Observe the rules and stipulations issued by airlines. Switch off the wireless device when entering an aircraft. Otherwise, the radio signal of the wireless device may disrupt the control signals of the airplane.

Emergency callsThe operation of this wireless device is based on receiving and sending radio signals. Therefore, a connection cannot be granted in all circumstances. In an emergency, vital communication should not rely solely on the wireless device.

Specifi c Absorption Rate (SAR)This wireless device is a radio transmitter/receiver. The device has been designed so that it will not exceed the limits set out in international recommendations concerning exposure to radio waves. The limitations have been set out by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, an independent scientifi c organisation. The aim of the safety margins included in the limitations is to ensure the safety of everyone, regardless of their age and medical condition.

Specifi c Absorption Rate (SAR) is the unit of the recommendations. The SAR limit for wireless devices is 2.0 W/kg, and the highest SAR value measured for this device in testing does not exceed the limit.

Use and the bodyHere is important safety information about exposure to radio frequencies. When using the device, it must be at a minimum distance of 1.5 cm from the body. This ensures that the reference values for exposure to radio frequencies are not exceeded. If these instructions are ignored, the exposure to radio frequencies may exceed the reference values concerning use.

CE Approval (the European Union)This wireless device has been approved for use in EU member countries. This wireless device conforms to the essential requirements and other relevant terms of the Directive 1999/5/EC on radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment.

Notifi cation of the Federal Communications Commission (United States): Before the wireless device is made available for sale to the public, it must be tested and it must be assured to the FCC that the Specifi c Absorption Rate of the device’s radiation does not exceed the limit set out in the safe exposure requirements introduced by the United States Government.

WARRANTY CLAUSES1. The equipment manufacturer grants a two-year (2) warranty for the equipment,

starting from when the original owner has purchased the product and when the product is used normally. The warranty cannot be transferred.

2. The other accessories have a six-month (6) warranty covering manufacturing defects.

3. This warranty does not apply to the following defects: a. Wear and tear caused by the normal use of the device. b. Defects and damage caused by using the equipment in another way than the

ordinary one. c. Defects caused by unauthorised disassembly, repair, modifi cation and adjusting. d. Any defect caused to the device by misuse, neglect or damage. e. Defects and damage caused by erroneous testing, use, maintenance, installati-

on or any modifi cation or altering. f. Defects and damage caused by food or liquid spills, corrosion or using a wrong

voltage. g. Scratches and damage on plastic surfaces and other outer surfaces of the device

caused by normal use.4. If a defect is found in the product during normal use during the warranty period,

the product must be returned to the retailer from whom it has originally been acquired. The liability of the equipment manufacturer and its authorised mainte-nance partner is limited to the delivery and repair costs and/or replacing the unit.

5. The warranty will become void in the following scenarios: a. The device’s type plate or warranty seal has been muddled up or removed. b. A term of this warranty has been changed or edited in whatever way without

express written consent granted in advance by the equipment manufacturer.6. This limited warranty only applies to customers who purchase the device in a sales

country (or region) specifi ed by the equipment manufacturer. The limited warranty

shall only be valid in the product sales country (or region) specifi ed by the equip-ment manufacturer.

7. If the product is returned to the equipment manufacturer after the expiry of the warranty period, the manufacturer’s usual maintenance procedures shall be valid, and the customer shall be invoiced accordingly.

a. The equipment manufacturer shall not take any other liability for the product than the liabilities mentioned expressly in this limited warranty.

b. All warranty information, product features and technical information may be changed without separate notifi cation.

8. This warranty shall replace any other direct and indirect warranties. This particu-larly includes all indirect warranties concerning saleability or fi tness for a specifi c purpose. The equipment manufacturer shall only be liable for warranty violations by correcting the violation as described above. The equipment manufacturer will never be liable for any consequential loss or damage, including usage interruptions caused by the product, or lost profi t.

Special terms for the Saunalahti Prepaid service1 General1.1 These special terms apply to the Saunalahti Prepaid service (hereinafter

“the Service”) provided by Elisa Oyj or any company belonging to the same group of companies as Elisa Oyj (hereinafter “Elisa”). In providing the Service, Elisa shall grant the customer, against prepayment, the right of use of an Elisa-owned mobile subscription with limited features.

1.2 ”Customer” means a physical person or a legal entity that procures services off ered by Elisa.

1.3 General delivery terms, service-specifi c special terms and campaign terms shall be applied to the use of other Elisa services.

2 Entry into force of the agreement2.1 The agreement enters into force when the customer activates the Service

according to the instructions for use.

2.2 Elisa shall have the right to transfer its contractual rights and obligations without the customer’s consent to another company belonging to the same group of companies or to another telecommunications company that may continue to off er Elisa’s mobile communication services.

2.3 Elisa shall have the right to choose the mobile phone number to be used by

the customer as part of the Service. The mobile phone number shall remain in Elisa’s possession and the customer shall have no rights to it after the termination of the agreement.

2.4 Elisa shall retain the ownership of the subscriber card (SIM card).

2.5 Mobile phones and other terminal devices used for the mobile network services shall not be part of the Service. The above notwithstanding, such devices shall be operational and properly approved before they can be used on the telecommunications network.

3 Closing of the Service and termination of agreement3.1 The Service shall be closed and the agreement terminate when the validity

period of the Service specifi ed in the instructions for use or on the sales package ends.

3.2 Elisa may close the Service and terminate the agreement, if 3.2.1 the customer uses an inoperative or unapproved terminal device in spi-

te of a reminder sent by Elisa as a text message or, if possible, in some other written form.

3.2.2 in using the Service, the customer has provably caused interference to the telecommunications network, services, or other users.

3.2.3 the customer continues to violate or neglect these special terms or other contractual obligations in spite of a reminder sent by Elisa as a text message or, if possible, in some other written form.

3.2.4 the Service is used in an inappropriate manner, for illegal or unethical activities or if the police or other competent authorities request in writing that the Service be closed.

3.3 Elisa shall have the right to close the Service without separate notice to the customer not later than twelve months from the most recent recharging of calling time.

3.4 Should the agreement be terminated under this subsection, the unused calling time will not be refunded.

4 Customer’s rights and obligations4.1 The customer has the right to use the Service as specifi ed in these special

terms and in accordance with its other contractual obligations.

4.2 The customer has the right to give the SIM card to a third party for use. The customer shall be responsible for all charges related to the use of the Service even when a party other than the customer has used the Service. In no case shall Elisa be liable for any indirect damage to the customer nor for any damage caused by minor malfunctions or defects nor for damage caused by action taken by the customer or a third party that has used the Service. If compliance with a contractual term is prevented or delayed by grounds for release, Elisa shall be released from its contractual obligations and its obligation to pay damages. Grounds for release are deemed to exist if the ful-fi lment of Elisa’s contractual obligations have become unreasonably diffi cult or if there is a force majeure.

4.3 The Service can be used to obtain services other than those provided by Eli-sa. Elisa is not responsible for services provided by other telecommunications companies or service providers or for their operations nor is it liable for costs and damage caused by such parties. Elisa is not responsible for the contents of communications received or transmitted through the Service.

4.4 These special terms are not meant to limit the rights that belong to an indivi-dual customer under consumer legislation or other legislation.

4.5 Elisa is not responsible for the availability during the Service use of all the features included in the customer’s terminal device.

4.6 The customer shall fulfi l its contractual obligations and comply with the provisions of the special terms. During the Service use, orders given by public authorities for the use of terminal devices shall also be complied with.

4.7 Elisa is not liable for faults or interference caused by the customer’s terminal device or its use nor for consequences thereof.

4.8 The customer is responsible for the maintenance of its terminal device. If the customer uses a defective or interference-causing terminal device on Elisa’s mobile communications network in spite of a prohibition sent by Elisa as a text message or, if possible, in some other written form, it shall pay compen-sation for troubleshooting, fault control, and any damage caused to a third party.

4.9 The customer shall keep the SIM card, PIN code, and PUK code safe so that they do not come to a third party’s knowledge.

5 Elisa’s rights and obligations5.1 Elisa has the right to change the mobile phone number used by the customer

if orders given by public authorities or the structural, technical or service aspects of the telecommunications network require it to do so. A notifi cation of the change shall be given with a text message or, if possible, in some other written form, not later than 6 months before the change takes eff ect.

5.2 Elisa has the right to give the mobile phone number used by the customer to a third party on the termination of the agreement.

5.3 Elisa has the right to provide the Service under the agreement in a manner it deems the best. Elisa may undertake arrangements that aff ect the techno-logy and use of its mobile communications network. Should such changes cause structural and technical changes in the customer’s equipment, the customer is responsible for the cost of these changes and Elisa is not obliged to pay compensation for them.

5.4 Elisa has the right to decide on the areal extent of its mobile communications network and the features off ered by it. The Service can not be used abroad. Elisa does not guarantee that the Service will function without interruption.

5.5 Elisa has the right to temporarily interrupt, for reasons of construction, deve-lopment or maintenance or for some other necessary reason, the provision of the Service for a period that is as short as possible and at a time which cau-ses as little inconvenience as possible to the customer. Elisa shall inform the customer of the interruption in advance with a text message or, if possible, in some other written form provided that it is necessary and possible with reasonable measures, taking into consideration the duration and time of the interruption.

5.6 Elisa has the right, after receiving a written request from the police, to disclo-se, for criminal investigation purposes, identifying information related to the Service used by the customer.

5.7 Elisa has the right to discontinue the Service or a feature thereof if Elisa con-siders it justifi ed. In that case, Elisa has the right to terminate the agreement as far as the discontinued service or a feature thereof is concerned by giving the customer, within a reasonable time, an advance notifi cation with a text message or, if possible, in some other written form.

5.8 Elisa has the right to transfer, without the customer’s consent, the agree-ment in full or in part to a third party, whereby the business governed by the agreement will be transferred to the said party.

5.9 Elisa shall maintain its mobile communications network and the Service in good order under these special terms.

6 Charges6.1 Elisa shall decide on the prices charged for the mobile communications net-

work services.

6.2 By using the service, the customer reduces the credit in accordance with the applicable price list for the services.

6.3 Elisa has the right to change the charges referred to in section 6.1. If the customer incurs additional costs because of the change, the charges shall not be changed, except when such changes are due to changes in legislation, decisions made by authorities or comparable reasons related to the struc-tural, technological or service aspects of the telecommunications network. A notifi cation of price changes shall be given not later than two (2) weeks before the change takes eff ect. The notifi cation shall be given in a text mes-sage sent to the mobile phone number used by the customer or, if possible, in some other written form.

7 Off ences7.1 If the customer, police, insurance company, or another telecommunications

company has notifi ed Elisa of the theft or loss of the terminal device, Elisa may prevent the use of the terminal device.

8 Settlement of disputes8.1 Disputes over the Service, if not settled by negotiations, shall be settled in

Helsinki District Court. 8.2 However, a customer who is an individual can also bring action in the local

court of the locality in whose judicial district he or she is domiciled under the Population Register Act. A consumer also has the right to have the matter settled by a consumer complaint board.

9 The validity of the special terms9.1 These special terms are in eff ect as of 28.11.08, and will be in eff ect until

further notice.

9.2 Elisa may amend these special terms. Amended special terms shall not apply to agreements signed before the change becomes eff ective unless the amendment of the special terms is due to changes in legislation, an offi cial order, or a similar reason related to the structure, technology or service of the telecommunications network. The customer shall be notifi ed, before the amendments become eff ective, of any amendments to the special terms in a text message sent to the mobile phone number used by the customer or, if possible, in some other written form. The customer may order the full text of the special terms from Elisa.
