Operadores y mecánicos demuestran sus habilidades Presentando los talentos de algunos de los mejores operadores y mecánicos del transporte público, el 34º Bus Roadeo de Metro anual mostró la excelencia diaria de las personas que le brindan su servicio de autobús.

Bus Operators And Mechanics Show O= Their Skills Showcasing the talents of some of the >nest operators and mechanics in public transportation, the 34th annual Metro Bus Roadeo event displayed the everyday excellence of the people who provide your bus service.

The competition featured bus operators in an obstacle course and maintenance teams racing against the clock to diagnose and repair performance-related bus problems. This year’s winners were North Los Angeles Division 3 Operator Joe Acosta and Arthur Winston Division 5 Master Mechanics Enrique Perez, Danny Galindo and Frank Forde.

Metro’s 2009 champions will go on to compete against the country’s other regional winners at the 2010 national competition next May in Cleveland, Ohio.

Bus Operators And Mechanics Show O= Their Skills Showcasing the talents of some of the >nest operators and mechanics in public transportation, the 34th annual Metro Bus Roadeo event displayed the everyday excellence of the people who provide your bus service.

The competition featured bus operators in an obstacle course and maintenance teams racing against the clock to diagnose and repair performance-related bus problems. This year’s winners were North Los Angeles Division 3 Operator Joe Acosta and Arthur Winston Division 5 Master Mechanics Enrique Perez, Danny Galindo and Frank Forde.

Metro’s 2009 champions will go on to compete against the country’s other regional winners at the 2010 national competition next May in Cleveland, Ohio.

Clean, Friendly And On-Time If you feel good about Metro service, you’re not the only one.

A June 2009 survey of more than 15,000 Metro riders showed that 85% are satis>ed with their bus and rail service and 79% believe the system is better today than a year ago.

A major factor in the high satisfaction scores is Metro’s on-time performance, which continues to climb and stands at 76%. Nearly 82% thought their bus operator was courteous and 72% found the bus stops and stations to be clean.

The extensive on-board survey also showed that 80% use the Metro system primarily to commute to and from work, with 28% indicating they could have made the trip in a car, but chose go Metro instead.
