y obstruciones.
STARTING
Before starting the engine, check:
• Coolant level;• Fuel level;• Lubricant oil level;• The air filter cleanliness.
For turbocharged engines, which havebeen inactive for more than a week, crank the engine, pulling out the fuelshut off control (to prevent starting) inorder to pre-lubricate the turbocharger.Push back fuel shut off control.Set the throttle at 2/3 of its stroke. Crankthe engine until it f ires (max.) 7seconds.If the engine does not fire, wait 30 / 60seconds before re-cranking, to allowbattery recovery.DO NOT ACCELERATE EXCESSIVELYDURING THE FIRST 30 SECONDS OFOPERATION.Never turn the ignition switch to startposition while the engine is running.Do not turn off the turbocharged engineduring high-speed operation. Wait 30seconds at idle before shutting off.
Desligaro estrangulador.

COOLING FLUID ADDITIVES
Any water, potable or not, will producecorrosion of more or less intensity inthe cooling system.
Also the concentration of salts andcalcium in the water produce depositformations on the system inner surfaces, affecting the heat transfer.
Due these factor, the coolant must becomposed by clean water and genuineMWM INTERNATIONAL additive in theproportions recommended on the bottle.
Additional make-up coolant should bemade by adding clean water withcoolant additive in the recommendedproportion on the package.
In regions where the winter is very cold, some precautions must be taken againstthe possibility of water freezing in thecooling system. If the temperatures fallbelow 32oF zero °C, we recommend theuse of antifreeze, which contains liquidsoluble to avoid freezing of the coolingsystem water.

DIESEL FUEL
The oil Diesel used at MWMINTERNATIONAL engines, must meetthe brazilian Standard ANP nº 32, issuedin 16.10.2007 – DOU 17.10.2007.
The Cloud Point (start of paraffinprecipitation) must be under anyoperating temperature and the cetanenumber should not be lower than 46.
At very low temperatures, generallyunder + 1°C (34°F), when paraffinprecipitates, 50% by volume of kerosenecan be added to the Diesel fuel toprevent clogging.
In order to obtain a homogeneousmixture, when refilling, first add thekerosene, due to its lower specificgravity, and then complete with Dieselfuel.
The engine must operate with thismixture only at low temperatures, beingunadvisable for other conditions.
ACEITE DIESEL

DRENAGEM DO SISTEMA DECOMBUSTÍVEL
FUEL STORAGE
• Use drums, which are notgalvanized, protected from sun, rainand dust, inclined over a stand, allowing the settling of water andother impurities.
• Maintain the tank full, reducing thepossibility of air and condensationentering into the system.
• Do not store the Diesel oil fuel for along period of time, because it getsthe combustible older ancontaminated, due to its naturaloxidation. This oxidation startschemical changes, resulting in adifferent color, obstructing the filtersand the injectors.
• The misture if diesel oil fuel andBiodiesel must not be stored for morethan 3 months.
44 9.612.0.006.7165
