Secara umum proses yang terjadi pada suatu sistem
turbin uap adalah sebagai berikut:
1. Pertama-tama air dari dalam kondenser atau tangki
penyimpanan dipompakan ke dalam boiler
2. Setelah air menerima energi dari panas dalam
boiler tersebut! kemudian secara langsung berubah
menjadi uap-uap yang panas
3. Uap panas akan memutar turbin yang kemudian
energi listrik dibangkitkan dari generator
4. Uap akan energi panas didalam condenser berubah
kembali menjadi air! yang lalu disalurkan kembali ke
boiler
