Program outlineStudents will gain hands-on experience in prototyping new products and services, running a pop-up business, and developing a start-up business idea to pitch for venture capital funding. They will be mentored by entrepreneurs and acquire experience inside existi ng start-ups.

Graduates of the program will be ‘start-up’ ready. They will have the formal skills and capabiliti es to transform the global,social and business landscape, as well as develop themselves and think about the entrepreneur within.

Who is it for?This program is for creati ve, passionate and driven individuals who want to aquire the skills and knoweldge to successfully commercialise products and services in astart-up environment.

For anyone who has ever had an idea, the Master of Entrepreneurship is where the journey of transforming great ideas into even greater enterprises starts.

Master of Entrepreneurship —Entrepreneurial success does not rest solely on creati vity and intuiti on. Being able to think rati onally, refl ecti vely and deeply about ideas – including a preference for evidence and data inspired insight – adds greatly to unlocking creati ve pathways.

The Master of Entrepreneurship is for ambiti ous, creati ve and passionate individuals who want to play a transformati onal role in Australia’s social and economic future.

Program details • Entry in Summer Semester (February) only

• Full-ti me enrolment only

• Parkville campus

Entry requirements:• An undergraduate degree in any discipline

• Response to a structured questi onnaire; and

• A fi ve minute video pitching why the prospecti ve student should be selected for the Master of Entrepreneurship; and

• An interview for shortlisted candidates only*

The Selecti on Committ ee may seek further informati on to clarify any aspect of an applicati on.

Applicants are required to sati sfy the University’s English language requirements for graduate programs.

* Note: Master of Entrepreneurship candidates willneed to be admitt ed to both Ormond College and The University of Melbourne. The interview for shortlisted candidates will include a component for admission to Ormond College as well as the University.

Scholarships:The Wade Insti tute has a dedicated scholarship program to help make sure fi nancial need is not a barrier to high potenti al entrepreneurs joining the program.

These scholarships include the Ormond Entrepreneur’s Scholarship and the Naomi Milgrom Scholarship for Women Entrepreneurs, as well as partial fee remission scholarships awarded by the Faculty of Business and Economics based on academic merit.

The Master of Entrepreneurship consists of nine core subjects comprising two foundation subjects, six entrepreneurship core subjects, one capstone subject (25 points) and two elective subjects.

Core subjects • Entrepreneur Within• Design Thinking• Creating a Successful Business Model • Garage Project• Entrepreneurial Organisation Foundations • Managing Growth and Pathways to Market

Capstone subject

• Creating Your Own Enterprise

Elective subjects

Students must select two elective subjects chosen from the recommended lists, or other subjects as approved by Program Director.
