we would embrace them and find a solution to it and keep moving on and Never Settling Down,Always Going Beyond with humility in actions, where innovations are bottom up, both

2. What have been your main achievements and non achievements in AIESEC in the past? (Mention a max of three each)
Achievements :
-oGCDP 2014:
As the year started we did change a lot of things of how the things used to run which
did result in a good momentum in the portfolio. There were a lot of innovations
implemented which were key learning factors for the team. A very special part of this year
was also The TopGun, my member became the TopGun 2014 she was driven by the
passion & the will to do something significant for the department , the utmost satisfaction
and happiness from sending people for an Internship made her to go for one too.
Each passing quarter there was evolution of thought leadership which ultimately helped
run teams in the most efficient & effective manner in Q4.
-Refined individual:
The AIESEC journey itself has been the key defining factor of my personality, the
thoughts, the commitment & everything that i possess as an individual. The way failure &
feedback is embraced & seen as an opportunity to learn from mistakes is something which
no other thing could have taught a 20 year old.
The beauty of the leadership development model reflects in my core value system &
actions. As a result of this journey i have a purpose in life , more committed & passionate
towards it.
Non Achievements:
- Funds for Balakalakaar:
In the organizing committee everyone worked very hard for the children to happy &
satisfied at the day of the event, however we could not raise any money from companies
as the timeline was not matching the corporate timeline. However, the team found a
solution in time to not let the event go in loss & did micro funding and delivered the event.
-Could not go for exchange myself:
Coming from oGC , which sends people abroad for a Global Citizen & knowing the impact &
the value the program carries i could not myself experience my product which is one of my
non achievements till now,but i will definitely take this up before my AIESEC journey ends.
Never Settle,Go Beyond! Humility.Innovation.Achievement

3. List the Local/ National/ International conferences you have attended and in what capacity.
4. Describe the experience of being a part of the Executive Body of AIESEC Chandigarh. How do you think other members on the team would evaluate your contribution to the team & LCs organizational direction?
Being on the executive board of AIESEC in Chandigarh has been an absolute privilege to
serve my home as part of Blitzkrieg. The experience has been one roller coaster ride, the
team has gone through different phases but beautifully came out stronger together amidst
of challenges and failures. The team always believed in conquering fears and surging for a
selfless win for the home and build a local chapter which grows exponentially year by year.
The Journey has been the best team experience , where everyone challenged each other
to bring out the best form of us,biggest critiques of each other & support system. I have
given my perspective and inputs at all times to the team and LC every moment & shall

To the team, more constructive feedbacking for growth of everyone. Being bestfriends at

Natasha Dewan|Applicant|Local Committee President |AIESEC in Chandigarh 2016
Section D | Motivation
1. Why did you decide to run for LCP of AIESEC Chandigarh? What are the qualities required for this role & what makes you best suited for this role?
I call this LC my home. the amount of learning and wisdom this place has given me is something which built my character & my purpose of life. I applied because i want to serve this LC & give back more and more because this place deserves nothing but our greatest form.
Over time i realized why leadership is the fundamental solution to every problem in this world & i want to activate leadership in each and everyone because that is what the organization exists for. AIESEC in Chandigarh stands tall and deep rooted of the leaders that it has created in the past. The Local Chapter’s identity has one of creating humble, bold and Value driven leaders who aspired to achieve with undiluted passion to elevate to greatness to dream more and more for the LC with purpose, passion ,performance delivered promises , became an invincible local chapter leading the insurgence and ready to Never Settle,Go Beyond.
I applied because i simply love this place, called home. I want to serve the home with the best that can be done and nothing short. I have applied because this place redefined the meaning passion & commitment. I applied because i want to take an opportunity to deliver opportunities and pioneer AIESEC Chandigarh towards 2020.
2. Describe your future short-term and long-term career and personal goals. How do you expect an LCP term to help you achieve these goals and why now?
Never Settle,Go Beyond! Humility.Innovation.Achievement
Career Goals Personal Goals
Short term: -Graduate in May 2016. -Learn a new language.
Short term: -Becoming the LCP of AIESEC in Chandigarh. -Learn a new cuisine. -Start working on Health.
Long Term: -Complete masters degree. -Do culinary course from Cornell University. -Open my Restro-Bar.
Long Term: -Travel & explore authentic food around the world. - Adventure Sports to conquer fear of heights: Sky Diving.
Natasha Dewan|Applicant|Local Committee President |AIESEC in Chandigarh 2016
An LCP term is a role which is above oneself because of the responsibility it holds.
The learning & experience this role has to offer is something which transforms an individual.
The role has to offer different challenges every day, which excites me. Because i believe that
challenges are what makes you a better person for the team.
3. Highlight your time commitment throughout the whole of next year (till Dec 2016; Academic or otherwise). Ideally, how much time should an LCP give to his role?
Since i would be graduating in May 2016, i will be in my last semester where i need to
manage basic attendance till April, which is manageable.
An LCP is supposed to be available at all times for his/her team & the LC.
4. What are your three most substantial personal accomplishments (non- AIESEC), and why do you view them as such? Provide a candid assessment of your strengths and weaknesses.
-Cooking:
When my mom started working & we had no servant to cook, there is where my love for
cooking food began. Everytime, i used to be upset i would start cooking something, which
we later realize that this is something i truly love. Another reason why i cherish this talent is
the way to anyone’s heart is through their stomach, which is really true. ;) I found my
passion in cooking and took it up as a career. Always believed in following your passion
because only then would you give your 100% to the job.
-Managing academics with co-curricular :
Until school i was an average student with academics which worked in my favor always
because there were not any high expectations from me. It feels good when you surprise your
parents with a score they haven’t ever seen in your academic journey, to me it happened
with Class 12 results. My parents were baffled as they never saw me above 75% mark ever. I
score 87%. Which was a boost for me and entered college, joined AIESEC but always
managed my scores which is the peace element for my parents.
Never Settle,Go Beyond! Humility.Innovation.Achievement
Natasha Dewan|Applicant|Local Committee President |AIESEC in Chandigarh 2016
-Embracing Challenges & Failures:
Since i was a teenager there are things that go wrong in this phase which are irreparable
and leave a deep impact on the individual. I saw that happening to everyone around me.
When similar failures & challenges came my way i was wise enough to not let the ill take a
toll on me rather took that as an opportunity to learn & be wiser for times ahead & never
repeat again.
5. Define AIESEC in Chandigarh’s direction in 2016 in a single phrase or a statement. (Can be a stand or a vision or a mission statement)
Never Settle,Go Beyond.
6. Describe your leadership style? Explain how your style will be suitable for AIESEC Chandigarh in it’s current state.
‘’If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. ‘’
--John Quincy Adams
Overtime and experience in AIESEC, i realised what leadership actually means to me. This happened because of the diverse roles taken here but there was one thing common every step that i have been here, A Leader is a one who nurtures, understands & accepts the way the members are and makes sure he develops them to outperform themselves each day. Leadership means parenting to me, because as parents they show the child the right path with a space for the child to fall down, make mistakes, learn and grow themselves. My priority is to encourage, support and enable members to discover their own potential and strive to go beyond it each day with a space to innovate, fail & rise.
Never Settle,Go Beyond! Humility.Innovation.Achievement

7. What power does the role of an LCP carry and how do you intend to wield this after becoming (the LCP)?
The role of an LCP holds immense power as he/she is the decision making along with the
executive board for the local chapter. Over and above that the power to lead a local chapter ,
create transformational stories for every experience delivered and creating the change agents
for the city & the world & together moving towards making an AIESEC for Chandigarh.
Section E | LC Administration
1. List down the different aspects of the job role of an LCP.
The Local Committee President, is the administrative head of the LC. He/she is the ultimate decision-making entity of the local committee, driving down plans, strategy and culture along with being accountable and answerable to the General Body of the local committee at the same time.

▪ Marketing
1. What emphasis does Marketing as a function hold currently for AIESEC in Chandigarh? Critically analyse the same. Also evaluate its contribution to growth in all ELD programs, including Global Leaders Program.
Marketing plays a very vital role as a function currently in the Local Chapter, as each
member is a brand ambassador in the LC. Marketing in 2015 has played an important role for the
local chapter:
-Balakalakaar had it’s coverage on a leading radio channel of tri-city besides featuring on different
online collaborations.
-For recruitment it’s essential to have the right message communicated to the right people
through both online & onground channels which was done as no random campaigns orrandom
selling was allowed.
-Workplace branding was initiated.
-Good PR coverage for Youth Speak Forum.
-Consistent Outreach on digital channels.
-Email Marketing for oGC was initiated.
-Different EwA activités were also done, but results were not as expected.

-Devising a mechanism to collect the right content from operations.
-Adequate competent membership to be given for it to run like any other department.
Never Settle,Go Beyond! Humility.Innovation.Achievement
Natasha Dewan|Applicant|Local Committee President |AIESEC in Chandigarh 2016

contribution is automatic.
