Los Campanilleros
En los pueblos de mi Andaluca
los campanilleros por la "madrug"
me despiertan con sus campanillas
y con sus guitarras me hacen llorar.
Yo empiezo a cantar, ...
y al orme todos los pajarillos
que estn en las ramas se echan a volar.
Pajarillos que vais por el campo,
seguid a la estrella, volad a Beln,
que os espera un nio chiquito
que el Rey de los Cielos y la Tierra es.
Volad a Beln, ...
lleg Jesucristo y limosna pidi,
y en lugar de darle una limosna
los perros que haba se los azuz.
Pero quiso Dios, ...
que al momento los perros murieran
y el rico avariento pobre se qued.
Si supieras la entrada que tuvo
el Rey de los cielos en Jerusaln
no quiso ni coches ni calesas,
sino un jumentito que "alquilao" fue.
Quiso demostrar, ...
que las puertas divinas del cielo
tan solo las abre la Santa humildadThe bellringers
In the villages of Andalucia (a region in spain)
The bellringers wake me up
With their bells in the early morning
And with their guitars they make me cry
I begin to sing
And when they hear me all the birds
in the trees fly away
little birds go to the countryside
follow the star, fly to Bethlehem
theres a little boy waiting for you
hes the king of the heavens and the earth
fly to bethlehem
theres a little boy waiting for you
hes the king of the heavens and the earth
in the night of christmas eve
under the stars and in the early morning
the priests with their bells
adore the child that has born
and with devotion
they go playing zambombas (drum-like folk instrument) and tambourines
singing the verses of Gods son
on the doorstep of a rich haggler
Jezus arrived, begging alms
And instead of giving him an alm
He set his dogs on
But as God wanted,
The dogs dropped dead instantly
And the rich haggler turned poor
You shouldve seen how the king of heavens
Entered Jerusalem
He didnt want cars nor carriages
Just a little donkey that was rented
He wanted to show
That the devine gates to heaven
Are only opened for humbleness
