The type of Wagashi that you make will be changed depends on season, such as unbaked sweets that express shiki (four seasons) in Japan, or Mizu-yokan (azuki-bean jelly). Tabaruzaka is a place for Japan's last civil war. It was con�ict between Samurai(Edo) and modern times. This taxi course visits the places of Edo era house and civil war museum as well as souvenir shop. Some of you may know a famous samurai, Musashi Miyamoto. Even if you don't know him, you will see fantasic landscape at Reigando Cave. It is a place where Musashi stood for spiritual training. When you visit Reigando Cave, beautiful nature and lots of small buddhist stone statues greet you. Also this course brings you to one of Musashi's grave and an art museum of Musashi. If the museum is holiday, visiting a rice terrace and area museum will be a new option. Also, you can choose starting point from Johsaien or Kumamoto Station and drop-o� point from Johsaien or Kumamoto Station.

Place to visit: Reigando Cave, Nishi-no-Musashizuka(Grave), Shimada Museum of Art, Kimpo Michikusa Kan(area museum) and Taishojin rice terrace.

Musashi Course [ 3h ]

Garasha HOSOKAWA is a Christian woman who lived before Edo era. She had never come to Kumamoto, but her descendants built a grave and worshiped her as a god. This course brings you to Taisho-ji Temple ruins(Grave) and Suizenji Jojuen Izumi Shrine. If you have an interest to visit Japanese religious culture, this could be a good choice.
